A Toast to Us

We're currently on a cross country road trip from New Hampshire to Oregon and posting about sites along the way. But, today is a non-travel posting day.
Because we're taking time to celebrate — our 19th wedding anniversary today 🥂

This road trip trip is our anniversary gift to ourselves and, in a way, to all of you. We've enjoyed sharing our adventures to date and have enjoyed reading all of your comments.

Since we started this cross-country trip on July 15 we've traveled over 4,000 miles and are now in our 13th state. We've visited 3 state capitals, 2 old penitentiaries (and escaped), 6 museums, 2 national parks, a major university campus, battle monument, botanical garden nd 3 car washes. We've taken a Mississippi paddleboat ride, gone vineyard tripping, crossed mountains over 8,800 feet, rode through desserts and high plains, visited friends in 3 states, met lots of folks, counted (so many) cattle, sage brush, hay bales, snow fences and having much  FUN.

Hold on — we're not done yet. We're still on the road driving back to NH. There's more adventures to come, before we get home by early September.
