Hanging Out

Yesterday, in between the birthday activities that Grenville planned for me, I took time for some bird watching from our kitchen window. When they are not waiting for a refill on the feeders, these colorful (and welcome visitors) can be seen perched in the crepe myrtle trees.

How many different birds can you ID in this collage?
(see below*)

Hi Beatrice,

Gotta love those birds, huh? I'm thinking about erecting a bird feeder this spring so I can really get some great shots of the beautiful birds. I'll be posting another photo from my shoot 2 weeks ago.

Blessings,
Judy

Happy Birthday. He calls you the Princess, but I think it should be Queen.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Daisy, the birds are very entertaining, often for hours which is why I can't stay in the kitchen all day!
Judy, why stop at 1 feeder, try a couple and a thistle feeder too. You will have a lot of great photo ops right in your own backyard.
Thanks AC, but I prefer the "Princess" moniker, much less responsibilities :-)
Yes, Elaine, those birds sure do get around!
Grammie G, Grenville has more stuff planned for the weekend and sure he will be blogging about most of it.
Thanks Mona, I really enjoy the antelope shots you have been posting - beautiful animals.

Hi There, Your birds are gorgeous.. I love that White-throated Sparrow.. We don't have them, or at least I haven't seen one.

We have 6 feeders plus a suet feeder---so I love seeing my birds. We get alot of woodpeckers up here --which are my fav's, plus our precious little Bluebirds.

Love your pictures... Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

Thanks for visiting my blog - looks like you pretty well have the same birds as we do.

Hi Betsy, thanks for the comments and the first-time visit. you have a couple more feeders than we do. I only have 1 suet feeder, but will add another this spring as it's very popular with the goldfinches. I have never seen a bludbird at the feeders :-( Hope you visiut again.

Welcome Big Dude (Larry) Thanks for the return visit and comments. Come back anytime and I will do the same.

Thanks Elaine. Glad yhou enjoyed them (again).

Hi Laura and welcome. I checked out your photo blog as well and your little niece is so precious; hope all continues to go well. I also have PhotoShop (older version) on my PC and wish I understood it...hmm maybe I should make time to open a couple of books and teach myself. I was delighted when i found out my old 32-bit version would work on my new desktop (64-bit)PC especially after calling Adobe and being told it would not work and recommending that I upgrade to the latest version...NOT (thankfully). Stop in again, anytime.
