This morning, Grenville and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Boy, did we need it after pigging out on treats yesterday Festival (Grenville will post about what we did) . I brought along the camera to capture these feathered visitors.
Spring is nearly here – we spied our first robin!
Nearby, a Tufted Titmouse sang . . .
A Red-Bellied Woodpecker posed . . .
A Mockingbird walked along the RR tracks . . .
At the backyard feeders, these visitors stopped in:
Goldfinch, House Finch (male), Junco . . .

Wow, you found so many great images to capture. Thanks for taking us along on the walk.
You saw quite a variety of birds while on your walk!
Seems you know your birds and you found an excellent place to get a nice variety. Nice work on these montages. Thanks.
Great pictures, Beatrice. A robin already! I'm jealous! :)
Morning Everyone on what is forecast to be a very rainy start of the week here.
Yes, Lois & Linda it seems there were quite a variety on our walk and glad the camera came with me.
Thanks Scott, while I am not a true birder in that I can't recognize bird songs or unusual species, I enjoy seeing and photographing them.
Daisy, Grenville has seen several in the back yard, but this was my first!
Beautiful shots, we have similar species except the mockingbird.
Very nice collage of photos, and what a variety!
Beautiful photographs!! I´ve never seen a Mockingbird before. But I especially like the photo of the dove! I wish we had more of them here where I live all year round, we only have them here by summer.
Have a great day now!
Christer.
Steve, I've seen your birds too and you have had a vew more than in our backyard. I think the more we take our SUnday walks, the camera will be coming along to capture other varieties. The woodpecker is not usually around our yard.
Thanks Mona, there were more than I had imaged on a Sunday a.m.
Christer, we see so many of the doves and it's really funny when 2 sit in the flat feeder so no other birds can get in, but usually they feed on the ground.
Hi There, LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing your birdies... I cannot believe that Tennessee's state bird is the Mockingbird... YET---I have never seen one in my yard....Too Bad.. They are such beauties...
Hugs,
Betsy
