But to answer the question, yesterday we headed north towards Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee, Weirs beach area, Squam Lake area. . .
Lake Winnipesaukee is located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire at the foothills of the White Mountains. At 72 square miles. it is the largest lake in NH . The Native American name Winnipesaukee means either "smile of the Great Spirit" or "beautiful water in a high place." We didn’t make any stops this time, but will on the next trip.
As shown above, the foliage show was beautiful along Route 93. This is the most local color we’ve seen since our arrival a week ago.
Once we exited the highway and got onto some back roads, the color shows were even more incredible with the autumn colors.

You have some wonderful color shots of leaves. The roads remind me of the roads we took to get to Bar Harbor from Portland last year. The leaves had not turned yet but the landscape sure is the same. You made me homesick for the east coast.

Love the color. At least you let Grenville drive while you shoot. On the rare occasions I get to drive I usually have a camera in my lap and have been know to shoot, through the windshield, without pulling over.
