In between packing for our fall road trip to New England, paying bills, and putting things put away in the yard, I checked out the wildflower jungle garden this weekend. It’s still producing lots of flowers, but the weather turned sharply cooler this weekend, so their bloom time may be short-lived.
These colors are perfect for the fall weather.Honey bees were gathering pollen or napping.
Other insects enjoyed a Sunday afternoon – in several ways, sunning, waiting for lunch or “keeping company.”
By the time we return home, most of these colors will be gone, so it was nice to get a last look at nature’s beauty.

That cool is nice, but it is sad to think of losing all thisbeauty.
Have a safe trip and snap lots of pics. I would have suggested Middlebury VT, but I see on the other post of yours it must be closed. I love the quaintness' of Middlebury and love Stowe for the hayrides.
Duh, forgot to say how lovely your flowers photos are!!! Perfect fall colors.
Thanks Sandra - it was quite colorful..and still is!
Steve, that's true, but after our hot and humid summer, we're ready for fall and cooler temps here.
Thanks Tammy, we are still going to try and see if we can get to see at least a portion of Vermont, since we will be so close in NH. Thanks for the compliment on the flowers, they DO say fall to me.
Lovely wild flowers. Its a shame to see them go though. Have a good day !
Just beautiful!
Have a great day!
Christer.
The orange colours look warm, hot even. Sad they will be short lived.
Such pretty collages of color, Beatrice. Might as well enjoy them while you can! :)
Beautiful flowers! The colors are very bright and cheery.
Hope you have a wonderful road trip.
I agree with Sandra aka "Mad snapper" Wow, wow, and double WOW. I love all of these. Enjoy your trip.
God speed.
So vibrant and pretty! Have a fun trip! blessings,Kathleen
I thought id stop by your blog and say hello. And i hope your enjoying the beautiful fall weather that has begun. Richard from Amish Stories.
Thanks Elaine and Christer.
John, these colors looked even hotter during our hot and humid summer days. As long as the weather stays a bit mild (no frost) they may last well into November. But then we will mulch everything down and wait for next spring for the re-blooming.
Daisy, thanks we have enjoyed these blooms very much this spring, sumemr and now fall.
THANKS, Sweet Virginia Breeze, Snapper II, and Kathleen for the compliment and good wishes on our travels.
Hi Richard (Amish Stories) and welcome to our blog. We're glad you stopped by - come back anytime, We'll drop in to yours as well.
It is a beautiful set of orange flowers. I don't have any orange right now, mostly pink and magenta.
