This sign was on the front door, so that’s what we did !
After a recent post on Panera Bread, one of our favorite road stops, several folks told us of their fondness for IHOP.
In our motel room, Grenville saw a TV ad for the current IHOP feature – caramel apple sensations with a choice of crepes, fritters, and pancakes.
So, on the way home from our NJ road trip this week, we planned the route for an IHOP stop in Hillsborough, NJ. It was perfect for a rainy morning breakfast.
Grenville’s choice was a caramel apple fritter – with a side of eggs, bacon and hash browns – and coffee.
Do you think he liked breakfast?
My choice was the caramel-apple pancakes, which I enjoyed too.Lois, Mona, and Jo-Jo thanks for leaving the suggestion on our previous post. And, as Elaine said, there were no dishes to wash!Thank goodness, there was no unlimited pancakes special or we might have never left this place.

looks delish and like a work of art to me and i LOVE the cup
That apple caramel thing does look delicious but something I wouldn´t be able to eat as breakfast, later in the day wouldn´t be any problems at all though :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
We don't have Ihoppers up here, but when we were in Arizona five years ago, we quite enjoyed them.
Oh those pancakes are yummy...I could have told you that, Bea...I worked at an IHOP back in 1802! We also love Panera Bread...:)JP
Oh my, I have just eaten lunch but could sure go for that dessert. By the way, I have just downloaded one of Donna Leon's books, Death In A Strange Country and I am really enjoying it. Thanks for letting me know about her. It's a very enjoyable read.
Looks so good my teeth are drooling. I have not had fattening pancakes in years. I think tomorrow that will change just a bit. I may just eat one...
Oh and how is the new grand daugher Elizabeth? I hope she is doing good and her big brother is taking good care of her.
My husband loves the Swedish hotcakes at iHop! I like them too of course, although I'm more of an eggs, bacon, hashbrowns person.
You two must have been on a sugar high after that breakfast!! :) It does look scrumtious!
I'm a fan of the apples at Cracker Barrel so I know I'd have been a happy camper eating either of your breakfasts!

We must be in a parallel universe! That is EXACTLY what I had for a late lunch at IHop in Kingsland, GA. It was sooooooo good!
We are in St. Augustine, FL, tonight, on our way to Port Canaveral to board the ship Sunday for another ten weeks. Pictures to come on my blog. :))
When I was younger and slimmer I worked the evening shift at a hospital. Several times a week a bunch of us would get off duty and head to iHop. Now it's a very infrequent indulgence. But I do love it.
Hey Everyone, yes this was a sweet indulgence, and oh so good. There's nothing like breakfast at IHOP when you are very hungry...or even if not.
Lois, hope you and Kjell have safe travels and will look forward to the blog posts. Where to this sailing?
AC, what a pity there are none in your part of the world, you could consider moving, eh?
Hi JP, glad to learn that Panera Bread and IHOP are among your favorites too.
Hi Denise, glad you liked the book suggestion. I will look for Ms Perry's books when I'm at the library next week.
Tammy, no pancakes in years - maybe just 1 or 2 would be OK. Granddaughter ELizabeth and big brother Bobby are doing well and we see them at the end of Oct again. Thanks for asking.
Yummy! No IHOP here but maybe they'll still have this promotion going in October when we are in IHOP country. Only problem, then I would have to skip lunch and dinner both, but I think I would be willing to make that sacrifice.
yum, yum,yum :O)
I agree, I Hop is just the best! blessings,Kathleen
Both of your meals look great. I have only been to IHOP once, and it was years ago. There aren't any very close to us where we live now.
I really miss the Ihop....
