In the Clouds

Cloudscapes provided some beautiful views along Sunday’s drive from the VA eastern shore to Haw River, NC.Clouds Collage1Today, more along the route from Haw River to Bryson City, NC with lots of mountain views.

clouds collage2When we left home, gas prices had dropped from highs of $3.89/gal (regular) to “lows” of $3.83 to 3.85. So far, prices in NC have ranged from a low of $3.73 to $3.89. That $3.69 price seems the lowest, but only with purchase of a car wash; we left before asking how much that would cost.gas prices collage

You had some wonderful views along the way!

Our gas prices are in the 4.19 range, and that's with one of the lowest fuel taxes in the country at 8 cents a gallon and a refinery in the area. The pump prices aren't what hurts though. It's the cost of heating oil for the winter that really hurts.

Lovely shots. The gas prices aren't slowing me down too much.I bought a little Volvo one year to save gas money, it was going up to 65 cents.

i much prefer the shots of the fantastic blue and white sky shots to the signs of the times. we are hanging in at 3.90 since Florida is the hub of tourism.

I love looking at clouds, but here they are an even gray shield towards the sun today :-)

I´m hoping our petrol prices will get lower this week too!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Always love sky/cloud photos. Yours are beautiful. When we filled our pickup up the other day, it was $3.799 a gallon. Where will it end????

Thanks Folks for the comments about the skyscapes, which provided a great show along our route.
AC, we are in the Great Smokey Mtns which is part of the Blue Ridge. We're hoping to get to see some of Great Smokey Mountain State Park on Thursday.
Gas prices here are slightly lower than when we left home, so hopefully on the decline. However, we doubt that under $3/gal prices will return. WOW, Steve, gas prices shot to 65 cents that year; only wish that was the price now, even $1 would be OK. And, Mona, we are all asking that very same question...WHEN?
