Really folks, that “I’m Dreaming of a White Halloween” was just a joke. BUT someone at Snow Central has gotten this whimsy of mine all wrong. We are in Lancaster Pa this morning and as we sat munching our waffles the rain outside kept having some white stuff mix in. The guy on the TV just used the term ‘Unprecedented’. I was hoping that he meant no Prez candidates in the area.
This is the Harrisburg radar at 8:30 this morning. We are just below the label ‘Harrisburg’ in that pretty pink area. Pink being a mix of rain and snow, and the white stuff is all moving towards the upper right corner.
On the plus side we will be meeting Daughter #2 at about noon to see THE WEDDING GOWN!!!!!!! Yes we will be taking pictures,,,,, NO we will not be posting till the wedding later this spring (if the snow melts by then). Then back to their NEW place for dinner (depending on weather).
Here is a last look for now of the ‘Historic Storm’ the TV guy is saying with a ‘significant amount’ accumulation. Pink is BAD.
UPDATE @ 0934…. Rain has changed to large white fluffy flakes…..
Grenville (in Winter-Wunder Land)
UPDATE 2….. Just called the North Pole and got the following musical message:::: “You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout, I'm telling you why, you’re getting what you wished for now!!!!!” Hope is fading fast!!!

your pictures look exactly like the ones my daughter sent to me yesterday from NY (Columbia County)
...way too early!
I just figured you were lonely to drive that Deere and anxious to push a little snow.
I am not amused, Grenville. I am blaming all that white stuff out of our hotel window on you. Unprecedented indeed. No more snow dances, please.
Isn't this very early for You over there? We normally get it in early November but then it usually melts away within hours. Well except for last year when it snowed in October and continued to do so until spring this year :-) :-)
Take care and drive carefully in that snow!
Christer.
Yes folks, this is early. Unfortunately Steve, the Deere is home in Va where it is raining. I have put my snow dancing shoes away Elaine. Honestly Christer, i don't ever remember it snowing this hard this early.
Fortunately, we did not get any snow but it was cold enough last night and will be even colder tonight. You did a great job in posting about your event.
We call that rain and snow combination, sleet over here. Haven't had any in the south of England yet.
Weather can't make it's mind up here. I was working in shirtsleeves today it was so mild.
I am laughing here cause being in Ontario Canada it used to be us that got this snow before anyone in the states ya'll called us at one time the frozen north lol sorry hehe . I heard that parts of the states had quite a bit of snow and it's still coming down. Have a good evening and stay warm by the fire.
that's awful
