Scene(s) in Dunville

Dunville sky

As mentioned earlier, our recent Canadian road trip included  a stop to visit friends in Dunville, Ontario, where we saw a very large mudcat and an RCAF museum.

Driving along back roads, we saw sights that were similar to those back in our eastern shore VA home — farmland, farms and barns. Some of the most scenic buildings were the most run down ones, especially red barns.

Rundown red barnAnd, there were many nicer ones as well — also in red.

As Grenville was driving, I shot these scenes along the drive from Niagara Falls to Dunville without any pull-overs using a Canon Elph point & shoot.

About 10 years ago I spent a month on the road and traveled New Englad extensively taking pictures of barns. I see that you love them too ... your pictures are magnificent.

Beautiful!

A well kept barn can be truly beautiful but it is the run down ones that are interesting. I always startbthinking about the history behind them.

Have a great day!

Lovely set of photos! I always like taking the back roads best, and of course you know I like barn shots. You saw some lovely ones, and good work on the drive-by shots!

What a great collection of barn images. They seem to be addictive, don't they? Once you start collecting images of barns, more seem to jump into your camera whenever you get off the main highway.
