Yikes, Up 17 Cents

Thanks to all fellow bloggers who posted a comment on yesterday's previous post about rising gas prices. Here is what the cost was on the NJ Turnpike on Wed, July 17.

And, here's what is was when we stopped this afternoon, a 17 cent hike in 3 days (gas prices change weekly on the Turnpike on Fridays).

As we got closer to home, prices were hovering between $3.63 to $3.69/gallon. Hopefully they won't increase overnight as we need a fill-up.

Thanks, Anvilcloud for the heads-up on what to expect when we travel to parts of Canada in late fall. We will be sure to rent a compact car. And, Triumph we may stay away from Oregon travel for awhile, and NJ is the other lone U.S. state without self-service stations.

i just looked ours up.. we don't travel more than 5 miles from home ever, so don't keep up with it. but for travelers
we are at 3.51 at our station and 3.55 at several others with the highest at 3.86 out on Longboat Key which is where the elite live.

Ah well ... what's another few bucks when you're on holiday. :)

Gas prices here today are $3.53. I try not to worry about it too much because I can't do anything about it anyway.

I get better mileage in the summertime in my Prius but the gas prices always are higher. So I just have to satisfy myself that I'm not adding as much to the overall pollution as I coast along.

I did a lot of driving the past two weeks and watched the price for gas go up and up. Not what I wanted to see! Hope they will go down again soon!
Wishing you both a great day!

The US dolar is so cheap now that our petrol prices don't move at all at the moment. Good for us when products are made abroad because it makes them cheap here, bad becxause our export sinks since our prices get so high. Well can't win it all can one :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

We just pulled in at home - the gas prices were all over the place between here and Florida. The best prices were in TN at about $3.39.
