What Snow ?

Folks in other parts of the country, especially in the Midwest and New England are getting hit with yet more winter snows. Other folks in neighboring southern states have gotten lots more rain, including the VA eastern shore where we live.

Here at The Frog & PenguINN on the VA eastern shore, we had very little snow, but MORE rain Sunday and Monday. First, there was a (very) light wet snow. Grenville’s shovel was ready on the back porch; the penguins were snow-dancing on the front porch.

As you can see, no shoveling was needed, the rains washed the snow away within a few hours.

IMG_8974We hope the weather isn’t causing too much grief in your location.

Maybe that PA groundhog needs to find another gig cause his forecasting was WAY off this year.

Lovely photos ! Our winter storm started yesterday , mother nature threw all kinds at us . Today it is still windy as heck and cold with light snow flurries but no accumulation thankfully and the sun is popping out every now and then ! They say spring will arrive more in April for us here ! Yup groundhogs are not very popular this year lol ! This time last year here we were in the high 70s and all was blooming like mad ! Have a good day !

I am surviving here in Iowa but I am tired of the very cold temperatures. I can't think spring is coming when we are 14 degrees in the am. Our snow will go fast once we turn the corner and then we will be muddy when the frost leaves the ground. I like you penguins flag.

Strong winds and snowfall here right now. At first it looked like the snow wouldn't stay, it sort of never landed on the ground :-) But now we have around an inch and the snow just keeps on falling.

Have a great day!
Christer.

Looks like you got off easy on this latest storm. Here we've still got lots of snow on the ground by we're close to 20 degrees during the day and bright sunshine. Best of all we've now got more daylight than dark. The time between sunrise and sunset is a bit over 12 hours, but throw in almost an hour of twilight on either side of that.

We had ice yesterday and bits of snow today, but neither one stayed around long. Mostly it has been cold and windy. I'm ready for spring!

We were down in Virginia Beach and I forgot my raincoat. I was lucky, apart from a few sprinkles here and there I didn't get that wet when I was outside. Glad you didn't get too much snow.

Still very pretty even though there is not that much! The weather here in Texas is very warm. Hope this finds you warm!

We didn't get a huge fall here either but it was enough for the plowers to come.
