So, how many of you are just thrilled with Phil the Furry Rodent and his prediction of spring?????
I knew something was up on Feb 2 this year as i drove past our local Sears store and there in front was Mike and Mandy Muskrat (of Rat Trap Creek fame) checking out new SNOW BLOWERS!!!!!
I kid you not!!!! I was so amazed that i forgot to take a picture.....
Yes sirree..... Instead of being out on the Rat Trap Creek Municipal Beach, basking in the sun, and firing up the bar-b-que, they were getting ready to buy a new SNOW BLOWER!!!!!!....
You notice i didn't say a new Sunshine Blocker, or a new Air Conditioner, not even a new Lawn Mower.....
Well if you want to have your opinion known here is the place

Here's where you can vote whether Phil should face EXECUTION for mis-prognostication.....

Poor little guy. Half the people will want to kill him, the other half won't. All he wants is to be left along. ;)
All I know is that I've had my phil of winter.
poor little rodent, doesn't have a chance in the face of mother natures wild and wacky winter
I'm with you. But maybe not the death penalty. Financial compensation for my pain and suffering will be adequate.
Heard a few groundhog complaints today. We are getting more snow. Many sears around here have closed, I always went to them first.
I guess he still is better than our weather men :-) :-) :-) So of course he will continue like always :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
Well, tell you what, we're ready for spring here in Montana! But we still have snow on the ground and chilly temperatures.
LOL!!! This is just too funny although I won't be laughing IF that stupid storm dumps snow on us (even though our "girl" got it right predicting six more weeks of Winter!)...:)JP
Weathermen, rodents, no ones getting it right!! We are expecting more snow on Monday!!
We don't pay any attention to Phil anyway, as we know winter isn't over yet. We also don't pay attention to the "1st day of spring." Hah! Didn't happen and won't happen for several more weeks, although most of our winter cold is gone for the year. Not the snow though! We're still slogging through the snow!
Shooting the messanger has never changed the message, has it?
