Yes we are back to our morning walks to ‘walk off the pounds’ that we somehow accumulated over the holiday season. Now for those of you that follow our friend Christer in Sweden, we will not be showing our dogs and cat with us since we don’t have any. AND we won’t be giving you the glorious scenery he has. Just some pics from town. Some scenery, some strange, some funny (lots of those around here).
This is what we call a paper road. It’s on the map but not real. What i like about this one is it leads to Rat Trap Creek (more on that later) which sort of starts here in town. Only thing is they built a Wal-Mart and had to “re-route” it. For most of it’s route it is surrounded by trees and fields. Eventually it empties into Burtons Bay and then to the Atlantic Ocean.
We found this puddle and thought it had some interesting frozen features in it. The round spots that look like eyes are actually rain drops from earlier this morning. I guess the rain was warm and melted a little of the surface.
This is another paper road that few people know of, yet it is on a main road into town. If you follow it through the woods you come to a friends farm. There is no way you can take a vehicle on it due to a four foot deep ditch that is just past the pavement at the bottom of this picture.
For our ‘what is it’ today Beatrice is letting me do one. I’m sure everyone will get it since it is sort of easy and I'm not as good at this as she is. The prize is you get to give the composter one ‘good’ spin. Good Luck. The snow here has stopped so i have to go help De-Deco the house.

No clue - maybe a sewer vent?
Hi Grenville ...Thanks for the peek of the area around you!!
Rat Trap Creek now that sounds interesting??
As far as your what is this is concerned..I have no idea and I didn't want to give the composter a good "spin" anyway!! HAhaha!!
It's a street sign post with the sign missing. Well, of course the sign was missing, since it's only a paper road you were on!
I like your paper road, you have freedom to wonder by yourselves.
Hi Folks,
You'll hear more about Rat Trap Creek beginning next month Grammie, and i'm really hurt that you don't want to spin the composter :-(. No not a sewer vent Mona. Especially since we don't have any here. BUT YES ELAINE!!!!!It is a de-signed sign post. We have had a rash of street sign disappearances recently. This one is in a very isolated place that is deserted at this time of year.
I agree with you Steve. Next week i will be roaming around that area doing an annual cleanup for the owner so there will be more pics.
I love the puddle and the chance to see the area
