Excellent collages! You've captured the flavor of the Amish country beautifully. My favorite is of the kids going to school.

Thanks Mona & Elaine and glad you had a good trip, Elaine - welcome home. Hope you got some great shots on your trip and will be checking into your blog.

Thanks Far Side and WELCOME. It's true what you said that Amish don't like cameras, but these photos were all taken in public areas so no intrusions. Hope you come back again soon.

Do you follow Ruth's blog? She has pics of Amish up right now, and she also posts a lot of bird pics.

AC, thanks for the link to Ruth's blog, I will go there shortly and check out her photo posts.

Thanks Daisy, the kids were my favorite too, especially the one in the buggy.

Country Gal, I agree with your comments. It seems the Amish folks have updated their traditions to include drive-in banking too. You have a great day and weekend too - enjoy all the snow!

Thanks Desiree. I enjoy seeing your world too. The collage are super easy - no special software required. Just download Picassa and you can create them from your photos. There may be an online tutorial if you check in the help file. There are so many other things you can do with this free program; I hardly scratch the surface.

Thanks, Christer. You might also want to try using Picassa for some of your wonderful photos.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my blog. You have beautiful pictures in this post! Our Old Order Mennonites in Ontario are more private and retiring than the Amish I saw in Pennsylvania. Our OOM will hide their faces if they see a camera pointed at them so I try to respect their privacy. My husband's Mennonite ancestors came to Ontario from Buck's County PA in 1800.

Welcome Ruth to our blog. Thanks for the visit and comments. I agree with your comment about respecting privacy and certainly if anyone didn't want me to take a photo, I would respect that. Some of the Amish people we saw actually waved, which was very nice. Please do stop by again and I will do the same on your blog.
