Ah yes,,,, the attack of the giant zucchini's. This one tried to take over the entire farm. He even took over our blog for a few days. A real insurrectionist. For days we battled crouching cucumbers, tactical tomatoes, and bean bombardments. We were held captive in the potting shed and forced to watch ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers' over and over again. BUT in the end Zack Zucchini was captured, tried, and sentenced to the Grater and bagged in the freezer.
The moral of the story is ‘Never trust a Zuc over 6 inches tall’.
Now on to breakfast. Maybe some eggs and ‘Fried Zuc Fritters’

You are an absolute trip! I enjoy your blog. :)
I have never grown them, or much else edible, but I have been told that they grow from normal size to gargantuan pretty quickly.
Now THAT'S a big zucchini ! Makes my little cucumber look pretty small!
Delightful post!
If you have any good zucchini recipes I'd love to have them. I love the vegetable but tire of only one or two ways that I cook them.
Hi Ginnie, there is a post on our blog for a chocolate zucchini bread. I've also cut them up and included in quiche, sauteed with tomatoes, peppers and onions - quick and easy.
Thank you all for sharing my insanity. This year we have planted only 4 zuc's and it is almost time to THIN them out, with a vicious, ruthless hand.
Good Night all. Don't forget to check 'under the bed'!!!!!!!!
LOL! This is hilarious. Beware the rebel zucchini for sure. I'm glad you got 'em... keep on fighting the good fight! ;o)
