Friday Funnies

Now here's a product many of us may need especially after months of self-isolation, home cooking and take-out meals . . .

Honest folks, I saw this come-on product for sale at a local retail pharmacy. Yes, I also wondered about the before photo if this was the after one. Also, where does the frozen fat go and what happens when it defrosts?

We also wondered how long that model had been wearing the devise to look like that, not that we thought she ever used it — think this was false advertising?

This product was found near the vitamin supplements and health products. (The glare is from overhead store lighting as it was on a top shelf; several were in stock.)
Thinking about a purchase (maybe not)? It's not inexpensive and was not on sale. We decided to pass this up and opted for something else that's frozen and far more enjoyable, as you can see below.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
(Get some ice cream too; we went "local")

More like freezer burn than freeze the fat. Have a good weekend.

This is so funny because I used to work at a medi-spa in which they offer a body service known as "CoolSculpting" that looks very similar to this product. Basically, it freezes the fat cells, which causes them to die. The cells are then (over a period of time) broken up by your body and expelled through natural bodily functions.

However, it's not $99.oo. It's more like, 2-3 THOUSAND dollars per treatment plan. And it's not permanent.

" We passed this one up and opted for something else that's frozen and far more enjoyable — ice cream." HA! Loved that!!!

Have a grrreat weekend, my friend!

I think I should devote the day to devising some totally outrageous and useless product that I can manufacture in the basement and sell on line. There are always suckers who will buy anything. The sad thing is some of them buy everything insane politicians say, with disastrous consequences. Compared to that freezing the fat doesn't seem so bad. Not nearly as good as ice cream though............

Good decision, ice cream always wins with me too. The very thought of something freezing my middle gives me the shivers. Have a good weekend. B x

Hilarious!

Ice, freezing - have their health benefits, but not in the fat department. The only thing that helps here is calorie counting.
Good looking model, though!

try strapping that cone to your belly and tell us what happens.😋
I saw this ad on TV and told Bob, where is the 300 pound person with one on. people are so gullible

They are impressive ice creams

Golly! Does it really work? I saw the ads for it but doubt if it would do much good for me. It's not just fat that comes with sitting around at home. What about the wrinkles? I'll stick to my ice cream in a bowl with fruit and whipped cream. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Beatrice, I've seen similar items advertised on TV. I too wondered where the fat goes. In any case, I would need a much larger belt...partly because I like your eventual shopping selection too!

Regarding your comments on my latest post... No less than 8 companies were building those large electric home ironers at the peak of their popularity, including GE and Maytag. We have both read Erik Larson's interesting book about Chicago's 1893 World's Fair... Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

You'd think a pharmacy ... oh nevermind, it is just the way of things.

Huh I never knew such things existed! 😂

Ice cream sounds way better than that fat freezing thingy.

I like your actual purchase much better too!! ☺

Oh that ice cream looks so good. There was someone who is an expert at manipulating the picture to make her look like that.

I have no intention of freezing any part of my body....
but I would gleefully devour one of those magnificent ice cream cones, despite any consequences concerning a frozen mouth.

The ice cream should be more effective working from the inside like it does. ;)

I sneaked in to say Hi but no blogging!

Oh, sure, that's believable. :)

the diet industry is one scam after another. desperate people will spend a lot of money on things that just won't/can't work. I think your purchase choice was 100% better and definitely cheaper!

Ha ha ha ha...I love the choice you made Dorothy! Those gimmicks always make me roll my eyes lol! I wonder if anyone actually buys them!

What a joke, I'm sure someone bought it though. Ice cream is on the menu tonight, vanilla caramel. :)
Have a great new week!

I don't think that model from the ad needs to be worrying about her waistline. She could probably have two helpings of ice cream! Hope you have a nice weekend.
