It lists a lot of we are not responsible for items, but the one that caught our immediate attention (the arrow is my addition). Both our vehicles are over 5 years at 13 and 16 years "old" and both have over 100,000 miles. But then we were already in line.
After going through with my car (2007 Jeep Liberty) one day, we returned a day later with Grenville's car (2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee). Yes, both made it through without any issues.
Speaking of signs, doctors have it tough enough these days, but are some moonlighting?
There's always a sign that can be viewed in a humorous way, and not how it was intended.
This year, it will be not be marked with community events, parades or remembrance visits to cemeteries and memorials. Silent salutes and prayers will be offered by many, including ourselves. Grenville's uncle Bill died in WWI.
Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Take time to remember/honor those who served and died.

Our town's only car wash is touchless, so I guess we are reasonably safe. Mind you, we haven't used it since sometime during winter and before lockdown.
They don't seem to tell you to close the windows, otherwise they have everything covered.
Glad the cars were OK. Enjoy your weekend however you decide to spent it.
That's quite an interesting sign. I wonder whose car fell apart while it was being washed. So glad your cars were okay. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
Hahahaha...MD's trash removal. Cute one! This year will indeed be very different, but I have still been invited to a BBQ and I plan to attend. A happy and blessed weekend to you!
OMG, that is so funny! And speaking of car washes, the last time I was in New York City I was walking in Chelsea and spotted a car wash. I couldn't believe it because I had never seen a car wash in all the years and time I spent in NY. I was so surprised that I actually took a picture of it.
"doctors have it tough enough these days, but are some moonlighting?"
HA! LOVED that!
I just remembered, yesterday, that Monday is Memorial Day.
"here in the U.S. More importantly, this U.S. federal holiday honors and mourns military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. "
AMEN!
Have a great weekend, my friend!
I was shocked when i tried to reserve bob a lap lane on Monday that it is Memorial day. totally forgot even though i saw post about it a week ago... that sign is funny....
Ha ha, that trash removal sign made me laugh. :)
Have a wonderful weekend Beatrice.
ha, ha, excellent. I've never seen such a detailed list at a car wash!
Funny signs!
Have a super weekend. :)
Oh my goodness........that car wash sign would have made me wary to enter and the trash removal made me chuckle.
Have a nice weekend and stay safe
That is admittedly a formidable list - - but at least they didn't require cars to wear masks....
By the way, my car is so old that it doesn't even remember being five years old (*smile*)
I hope you have a pleasant Memorial Day Weekend!
the car wash sign was a hoot.
I have a monthly subscription to a car wash, for $25 I can use it as often as I want. But with Covid I haven't gone out and the car is not dirty! And yes, those places need to cover their behinds, hence the wonderful signage.
We've had some areas in Colorado where people have been gathering too much and parks have had to be shut down again. Sigh. People are just not getting it.
Our town has cancelled the July Fourth celebrations - and while I'll miss the spectacular fireworks, I think it's the right move. And dogs all over will not miss the scary sounds.
Enjoy your peaceful Memorial Day Holiday. Maybe we can focus on the real meaning of day.
The trash removal sign got me laughing.
Have a great weekend.
It's an odd weekend for me. Usually I'm with friends in Connecticut and we go to a wonderful craft show in Northampton. We also visit cemeteries to leave plants, but that's not the plan this year. There is an extraordinary monument to the fallen Union soldiers just a block from where I live. I will walk over and pay my respect to their memories.
These are very fun!
Beatrice, Signs can be fun for sure... Our favorite was in front of an antique shop in a small town in Georgia. It read "We sell dead people's stuff"! Our cars would also be vulnerable according to your car wash sign. Lot's of MD's and support personnel out of work or with reduced hours. So hey, they need a little extra income while they're waiting for unemployment. As for Memorial Day, it marks a milestone in my life as my Dad was KIA on May 6, 1945, 2 days before VE Day. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
i used to find signs funny dear Dorothy :)
this was good one it made me laugh specially the pointed one lol
your picks are always not just amusing but thought provoking sometimes
this is sad that many special days like Memorial day were celebrated differently , how nice that Patrick's uncle served in army
have healthy times ahead !
Going to be a while till we are let do that again
I've been through the car wash before, but I have never taken any notice of signs that may be posted there. Maybe I better start reading them!!
