What is This #9 Answer

This was the What is This? post with the hint that there could be several of these in your home or other places.what is this0407 (1)

Nope it’s not filters, blinds, window shades or vents – all great guesses by the way – give up?

It’s a Lampshade.

And this one is on a lamp that I see weekly when volunteering at the local library. Lucky, I had a camera with me last week.lampshade0407 (1)

FYI – Grenville planted the blueberry plants yesterday and also put in some onions.  He told me there’s still more than enough weed-pulling to go around ! Next week he’s planning to spread wildflower seeds in the backyard meadow

Sandra, anytime you want to try your tractor-driving skills, just let him know.

That is one crazy lamp shade looking for a good time. ;) I think it's a lamp shade waiting for a party guy to come by.

A lamp mostly made of a shade.I never thought of that. The blueberries get a nice bronze foliage in the fall so you get twice the pleasure.

I would never have guessed that :-) :-) :-)

I checked the price on Blueberry plants here and the cheapest I found was around 21 US dollars! It would almost be cheaper for me to travel over the ocean to buy some :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Years ago I photographed the very same type of shade - but even so - I was totally stumped.

With the number of full grown cedar trees here I think I should try a couple of blueberry shrubs. We used to pick bucket fulls in the country during the summer holidays. That is when the black bears would share. (Grin). ATB!

I just looked at the lampshare photos and realized that from the angle they were taken, it looks as if this lamp is all shade.

There really was a base there, Steve. And Lois, since the lamp is at the library, the pary would have to a quiet one. Yes, AC, this one really stumped everyone - much to my surprise!
Kathleen & Mona, most likely the blueberries won't produce the first year, so Grenville is just hoping they survive.
Christer, wow the plants really are costly in Sweden. The ones we bought here were about $4 (US) each and we may be getting a couple more over the weekend since Grenville tilled a large space.

Hi Rusty, creative minds must think alike :-) guess I just beat you to taking a photo of the shade which is quite a common style.

Hi Mona, you're very welcome and not alone in feeling that doing a blog and reading other blogs can be time-consuming and there are some days/eves when i feel overwhelmed cause I can't do it all.
