Fickle Foolish Friday

We had no unusual April Fool’s surprise from Mother Nature today, unlike several fellow bloggers who either woke up to another snowfall or were expecting one this weekend. Folks in Minnesota and Wisconsin you know who you are.

Spring appeared here briefly, but now has retreated for awhile. The a.m. started off with morning drizzle and the threat of showers, which never developed. As we were travelling around today, I brought the small (6MP) Panasonic digital camera; the screen was impossible to see, as I snapped these “skyscapes.”

clouds collage2Daytime temps barely got out of the mid-40s. A brisk wind was blowing all day which made it feel much chillier.

clouds collage1By day’s end, there hadn’t been any more rain, but the sun was still playing hide-n-seek at day’s end.

A pretty day! Our clouds were not scenic at all. Maybe tomorrow. Our spring is supposed to be back.

Oh for heavens sakes! I use to take pictures of clouds all the time and just love your photo's of them. It's 90 outside as I write this and it's after 5 in the evening. I do hope this is not a hint of things to come..but...it probably is. Hope you are having fun~!

Those are lovely skyscapes you took there. We may be getting snowflakes in the morning.

Yes, the clouds were awesome yesterday. I kept noticing them as I ran (OK, drove) up and down the highway. Apparently a few of those clouds dumped rain to the north and south of us, but we managed to stay dry here.
Wish I had been working in the garden! Next week will be better!

So beautiful photographs of the clouds!! I can look at clouds for hours and never get bored :-)

We had cloudy and foggy yesterday and it´s much the same weather today, but warmer.

Have a great day now!

Wow, the clouds really got great comments. Thanks everyone!

Ludwig, glad to hear that spring is coming back. We're supposed to hit 70 again on Monday.

Mona, yikes that heat is way too hot for so early. We will get hot temps but (hopefully) not until late summer.

Lois, rain and couds here today again too as the next post will show.

Thanks Cicero and Daisy, the clouds are wonderfully ever changing.

Denise, say it isn't so!

Thanks Possum, gardening is in our plans too.

Christer, same here, always interesting clouds.

Steve, Sandra and Mona, thanks and glad you enjoyed these shots. My favorite are the rain clouds as they are so dramatic.
