SOOOOO Where were we????

I was going to continue the torture but since so few of you fell for this i won’t. I really thought the ‘Celtic Woman’ hint would have been a give away. YES we went to see Celtic Woman in concert at the Ntelos pavilion in Portsmouth Va. The only bad thing was that it was raining on and off and misting the rest of the time. Or as one of the ladies said “It’s Irish weather”. Since i checked the weather ahead of our trip and saw that it was most likely going to rain we bought inside seats. Good thing cause even though the section we were in wasn’t full they didn’t let the lawn seat folks use them. Some pics i took (and you thought that only Beatrice had a camera (or three)).

IMG_0615 IMG_0622 The arches were at Trinity Church, the art work is on the side of the old YMCA (everyone sing along now). There used to be some sort of door there at one time, but now it is closed off.

It wasn’t so much the sign but the face above it that was interesting. A Gargoyle with a tree sprit face.

IMG_0624 IMG_0625 These are hopefully not part of the ‘Seven Steps to Heaven’. BUT they are on the side of the old YMCA.

These four were on a demolition site. I have no idea what it might have been but i always like the shadows of the past like the bricked up windows. The circle garden ( of weeds) and the brick work around it seemed out of place. Their location would have been in the middle of what ever it used to be.

IMG_0638 IMG_0640 Last ones. The steeple of a Catholic church and the church yard fence. The question in my mind was, is the fence to keep the evil out or the good in?????

And that was Portsmouth Va.

Thanks Mona. THe best part of my photo taking is i have no idea what i am doing. Just set it on auto and snap what i like, or seems unique. That way it is fun.
Glad you liked them.
