VA Morning Walk

Weekend mornings are times that Grenville and I enjoy walking around the Frog & PenguINN neighborhood on the VA eastern shore. There are several wooded areas along our route. These images were captured on a recent outing.

Nature’s beauty is all around if we just look for it.

SAM_5345I’m still on my NJ road trip where it’s rained half of this past week limiting my time outdoors, but there have been plenty of indoor projects helping my mother do some spring leaning. Internet access has also been limited  to brief interludes at a local library or a nearby Panera Bread – like tonight.

Sunday morning I’m heading home – after another 6 hour commute. Hopefully, the NJ Turnpike drivers will be more considerate than the ones on the drive here. Grenville has promised to prepare a special homecoming dinner. Details to follow.

OK OK OK i'm just kidding (napping will be later). Been missing you dearly. A house is not a home without a Princess, especially my Blue Jean Princess!!!!
YES there is a "SPECIAL DINNER' for the big Home Coming, along with lots of hugs and other stuff that i'm not writing about ;-].

safe journey and great close up photos. No way was a walk in order here today, we awoke to a blanket of white but it is aow all melted. Our new coach and HHR tow car were amazed! So was I to see white covered grass this AM. MN and global wierding in action, just when we thought it was spring!

Hi Everyone, the trip home was long as any 6 hour drive can be, but thankfully uneventful in terms of any tailgating, accidents, etc. Thanks for all the well wishes for a safe return. Glad you all enjoyed these shots. It's always amazing to me what can be seen everywhere - just by looking around AND carrying along a camera too.

Mama-Bug, the visit was very nice and got some house chores done there too.
Thanks, Lois - home safe and sound (?)
AC, agreed...and being missed is a nice feeling too.
Sandra, wood grains are great subject matter.
Hi Country Mouse , so nice to see you again and thanks for the visit today. Hope you're feeling better.
Daisy and Christer, agreed on the wood textures and finding beauty all around.
Pat, SNOW, glad it's gone so quickly.
Linda, mine too!
Elaine, thanks and I did and am home!
Kathleen, YES the homecoming dinner was so delicious and Grenville posted the recipe for all.

Well yet more snow today, so more inside time. I am sharing a blog award, Versatile Blogger with you both; pick up at my blog if interested and pass along. This is my first attempt at these things....

Hi Pat, spring snow in Minnesota must be quite a change after your AZ trip. Thanks for the blogger award, while we do appreciate your thinking of us, we really don't do awards of any type.
