Friday Funnies

Could this be a place for animals to work out?
Just wondering . . .
This new health club recently opened in a Nashua, NH, shopping center. Before the name change, the location was formerly occupied by another gym called WOW (Work Out World).

As fellow blogger, Sandra commented, the Zoo Health Club is a franchise. It has locations in 11 states (CO, FL, GA, LA, MT, NH, NJ, OR, PA, SC, TX). Most of these states only have 1-2 clubs, NH has 11 and is seconded by FL with 10.

While many US states are under severe heat and or smoke advisories. Here in Nashua, NH, temperatures have been moderate with no smoke cautions. However, there's been a lot of rain in the past couple of weeks with more is on the way.

Enjoy the Weekend, Everyone
Hope your July 4th holiday is a good one

New to me so ran a quick search and its a franchie and they are in a lot of major cities, one being in my hometown of Savannah GA.. took a peek at it, but nothing about why it is called the zoo. looks like a fancy one though, not one of the fly by nights that are 10 bucks a month

Maybe it's patronized by those who invest great energy in burying their heads in the sand.

Here in NWPA we have had a red code AQI alert since Wednesday. On Wednesday the AQI, as reported by AirNow rose into the purple area. Right now we are in red at 169. I hope you have an enjoyable 4th of July holiday. The only thing on our agenda, so far, is to watch the parade. Bob’s daughter and our granddaughters will be in the parade.

So when you say you're going to the zoo, it's to watch human animals in their habitat?

Quite often the name is apt. I love rainy weather and am living in a zone with drought problems so let the rain come.

Never heard of these.
We have less smoke here than we did for a while. Nid-80s to 90 here for several days. Going to be a hot 4th. Hoe you have a good one! :)

I've never seen that particular fitness club. Strange name...must be a "wild place"! I wonder if you have to work out in a cage? LOL. I am glad you are not having the smoke issues there. Sounds like it is getting pretty bad in the midwest and PA/Ohio areas. We just have very hot weather here in Florida. Our rainy week last week went away and left us high heat and very dry. Crazy stuff going on out there. I hope you have a blessed and Happy 4th of July!!! Let Freedom Ring!! ("Live Free or Die")!!

Interesting name for a Health Club. We are in severe heat again today and tomorrow. Sacramento valley... 108F today and possibly 110F tomorrow.
Too hot for me ...
Enjoy your 4th of July holiday too.

That's one we don't have in our community.

Happy Fourth!

I hope those rains help everyone. I wouldn’t mind going to a zoo gym if I could swing on the tree ;)

A strange name for a gym. I imagine doing press-ups next to a sloth or maybe a howler monkey....

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!

There's probably an overweight elephant or two having a good workout as we speak.

Cute name for a gym! Glad you are not experiencing polluted smoky air right now. It is a concern.

Hi Beatrice, No "Zoos" here but our local community health club certainly is a zoo, with tons of folks our age trying to avoid or slow down the inevitable...with many complaining about working out along the way. We've had some high level smoke from the Canadian fires from time to time but it has stay far aloft and hasn't caused any big problems. We too had quite a bit of rain in the last several weeks and we've only hit 90F once or twice so far this summer. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

Goodlife is the most prominent chain here.
