Until this week, winter weather in the form of any measurable snowfall was a non-event in Nashua, NH. That changed within the past week with two snowfalls of a few inches each.
While I don't know the type of berries on these trees, they reminded me of holiday decorations courtesy of Mother Nature.
The next burst of snow came overnight Sunday and lasted into most of Monday, ending in early evening. We went for a short hike in nearby Mine Falls Park this week.
This snowfall was also a wet one. Many tree limbs and branches remained snow-covered in early afternoon. Several trees retained their autumn leaves. We found that the trails were more snow-covered than expected, regretfully we hadn't brought snow shoes.

We are awaiting the next snow too. Trouble is I have to go out in it to Lebanon for a doctor's appointment. Might have to have Dan do the driving tomorrow.
It is beautiful though.
We have been getting the same snowstorms as you, only we are about 24 hours ahead. It is snowing here now and I noticed my grandson’s preschool preemptively shut down today. While the Sunday storm was pretty on the trees, what a mess the roads were. It came down so fast and heavy that the snowplows couldn’t keep up.
No snow at all here. Yet.
at the first few photos I thought icing on the limbs, the next few I thought, natures decorations, much like you did.. I love snow and its beauty but only in others photos and movies...yes, ghee is full of fat, but a tiny bit for one egg makes it taste good and clarified butter doesn't effect IBS, butter is instant pain/gas, ghee is not. a light smear works well. the coconut oil is the same thing. My life of food revolves around what is yes or no for IBS... the yes list is very small,
Little bit more snow here last night. Makes it all look clean and bright again. ;)
Good to see that the seasons can still conform when they put their mind to it. Our snow and pretty frosts and fogs have now departed and have been replaced by greyness.
Beautiful pictures
I'm glad you got outdoors.
Up here in Vermont, we had much the same at the lower elevations. South of my location there was a heavier snowfall.
We are scheduled for a good dose of a Wed-Thurs storm.
The snow looks so beautiful there. Love seeing these photos.
Very pretty. I once went walking in snow in Zurich, Switzerland in 1969. I sank to my knees. Thank God, I had boots.
Oh those oak leaves! Yes, snow has arrived and I am already sick of it. ☺️
Thanks for sharing beautiful snow pictures.
What beautiful glimpses of snow. I love the "snowball" tree.
Nature does some amazing things.
We still have sunshine here. It's allowing things to dry out and us to be outside a bit too.
Grateful for it all.
Sue
New snow is so pretty.
That 6 to 8 turned into 15 inches.
We ate under the snow cloud again. I am not a fan of driving in it but so happy for the states economy.

I see snow only in pictures, and it usually looks beautiful, as in our pictures. We get worried only about rain; no rain, no food. Hopefully, February will bring some much needed rain.
The snow is a lovely picturesque touch for dreary January. I especially like the holiday berries and lingering autumn leaves.
There are still some autumn leaves in the nearby forest where I live - they are reluctant to leave. Snow flurries are expected tonight, but no accumulation.
Lovely photos! Snow makes things less dreary, I think. It's been falling on and off here today.
Your snow is beautiful!!! Texas received some last night! Big fat flakes fell over in Dallas and north of the metroplex had several inches pile up. Only rain at our house. I love seeing snow!!
Ah, snow at last. Here in Virginia we have had none but we don't get it as much as you do, as you well remember. So, enjoy it while you can.
No snow in Belfast so far this winter, I'm glad to say. It looks pretty to begin with but rapidly turns to grey filthy slush. We've had a lot of frosts and slippery pavements though.
The snow makes everything so beautiful. I especially like the image with the remaining autumn leaves, such a contrast.
It looks lovely, Dorothy. It's snowing here now -- I don't know if we'll get what you have but it does look lovely.
The best weather you can ask for.
You made good use of the snow to get some good photos.
I so enjoyed looking at your snow photos. Not a flake to be seen here so I’ll have to make the most of yours. B x
Beatrice, Snow and snow falls are so beautiful...and yet we are so happy that we rarely have much snow here in East Tennessee. We had lots of snow in Michigan, the St. Louis Missouri area and during the many years we lived in Chicago. And then there was the very snowy winter we spent in Attleboro MA. So far this year, we've had one measurable snowfall...less than 2 inches and it melted within 24 hours. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Oh so pretty! I love seeing the snow from here! LOL. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy it some...and yes, snowshoes would be a great idea! I never had any before, but I can see where they would be great for long walks in the snow. Thank you for enjoying the snow for us. It's chilly here, and will be 35 in the morning, but no snow. This is Florida, after all! LOL>
Mother Nature provided you with beautiful photos! Loved them all!
My eldest son when lived in the Germany told that people there A Christmas without snow consider incomplete :)
I can imagine that after experiencing so many snowy winters it makes you feel good to see it dear Dorothy.
I really loved the shots. Nature is master at her art indeed! Snow flakes laying on branches look like stunning jewels wow!!!!!
The fall leaves in middle of the white wash look dazzling. Great captures.
Stay warm my friend and keep on snow shoe please!
Hugs and blessings
Sadly we did get dumped on here in my part of the state. I think the worst part was the rain, which has now hardened into concrete. Smile. I hope we get some warm weather before the deep freeze at the end of the week. And I get about not picking Florida. I'm not a big Florida lover either, but it is easy to get to for a short escape. I'm happy at least I was able to miss the actual snow days last week, as there will probably be more before winter is done with. hugs-Erika
You have some great photos of snow.
