Friday Funnies

Thanks to all who commented on my previous post about my tech issues with blogger. I appreciate that many of you shared details about some of your issues. While most were not the same as mine, hopefully all will be resolved — one day.

To briefly recap, I was getting an Update Failed message at the bottom left when working on a draft post. Yet, was able to save the draft and preview it without losing anything. Photo inserts would either not upload or finally do so after much waiting. It's ongoing still. Online searches haven't produced a solution or workaround. My hope is to continue posting, despite the message and uploading delays.

Thankfully, the Friday Funnies are shorter posts, and here's a new one.
This is not the type of caution sign that you would normally expect to see.
When you're using this method ↑ of transport in a hotel given its ups and downs (awful pun).
The signage was displayed on both the exterior and interior of a hotel elevator where we stayed recently. This was the only elevator and ourselves (and other hotel guests) used it without any mishaps or delays (that we heard about).

Enjoy Your Weekend Everyone
Best wishes to everyone celebrating Father's Day on Sunday
The RI grands and their mom will be visiting here

I have some posts to put together today. I'm hoping there is no issue.

I do hope your technical issues will soon be resolved. I don't know what is happening, but I know I have issues from time to time also, and after a while they take care of themselves. No explanation. Now, for that sign in the elevator...Oh my! I am sure they are referring to the buttons themselves. Sometimes people like to pound on them when they don't move fast enough, apparently. People are always in such a hurry these days...they can't even wait for the elevator door to open or close. Sad state of affairs in our country. We are just very impatient people. Glad you didn't experience any difficulties. sometimes I think I'd rather take the stairs...LOL. (Except when carrying luggage of course). have a blessed weekend.

I use the elevator when moving our luggage in, but after that I use the stairs. Maybe it's a good idea!

Not the kind of sign to inspire confidence. Our photocopier at work had a sign which read "This machine is an old and hard-working member of staff. Please treat with respect and show appreciation for its efforts. It always does its best"

Definitely NOT what you expect in a probably much used device. Nice find for FRiday Funnies Dorothy. Stay warm this weekend and enjoy! hugs-Erika

I despise elevators and would have to find the stairs if i saw that sign. I am getting the long load on photos, also the failed at the bottom, but not on every post and If I go out and go back in it will work. had to do that a few times adding photos. It loads for a while then stops and I have to go out and back in. Hiccups I call this

I am wondering if no one is reporting to the forumn because it has become common

I think with signs like that in the elevator, I would take the stairs.

Not what you want to see before taking a ride!

There are so many technical problems with Blogger that it's difficult to keep up with them and often impossible to find solutions. As you pointed out, online searches yield nothing substantial.

If I ever saw that sign on an elevator, I'd quickly use the stairs.....

Beatrice, This isn't exactly a confidence building sigh is it! Yikes... Definitely one to ponder! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

Elevators/lifts are convenient but that sign doesn't inspire confidence. Hope your technical issues get resolved.

If I saw a message like that I would take the stairs. Hopefully your blogger issues will get sorted. I have comments go in to my spam folder every now and then so I have to check it all the time. Have a fantastic weekend.

That's when you wish you were just one floor up!

OMG Dorothy....the elevator message! That would freak me out!!! Here's what might be obvious advice...try cleaning your cache/clearing your browsing data. Another thing I've had to do is open Blogger in a different browser. I use Chrome, but for a while I had to use Firefox or I couldn't upload photos. It was super annoying.

Oh dear! That is not the kind of sign you want to see is it, it certainly doesn't make you feel confident!

Have a lovely weekend.
Yes, we too are having a get-together for Fathers Day.

All the best Jan

Technical issues makes my stomach hurt! Right now my high speed Internet is going off and on and I have my modem sitting upside down at an angle in order for it to stay connected!! No blog post from me tonight! I'm reconnecting every so often as I lose Internet. Seems like a loose connection somewhere. I've moved most of the debris away that was hiding all the cords and such.
Hope I didn't smother something back there!!

Odd message there for the lift - don't think I would trust it.

Glad your technical difficulties are under control. so are mine. LOL over the memes.

A sign like that in the elevator does not give confidence.... I'd have taken the stairs. But glad to hear it was functioning just fine.

Sometimes Blogger is really annoying me and then I think I am going to change platform but of course I can never be bothered. My latest "itch" is that all my comments seem to disappear when I press publish. I think it only happens with non-moderated Blogger comments (fingers crossed you can read this).

I'm not even sure what "device" is being referred to. The lift? The buttons? Any buttons in particular? More confusing than helpful, I think.

Now that is one creepy elevator!

Rob K said...

What the heck?

Sensitive elevator buttons!? Those things were built to be abused for God's sake.

People jam their fat thumbs into them all day long.

And if they means the elevator breaks easily, then you better take the stairs.

Agh, I would not like to use that elevator! :)

I wasn't active in the blogland lately, so didn't know about these technical issues.

Have a wonderful weekend, Beatrice!

That elevator does look a bit "non-reliable"

A lot of people are having issues with blogger right now. Very strange goings on. I hope these will sort themselves out soon. Sounds like you had a lovely Father's Day with the family visiting. Our son came over here while his wife went over to her parents. It worked out great for all of us. Enjoyed your funnies.
