Looking UP

There's always something to photograph whether looking down or up. And, when your digital camera includes special effects filters there's even more fun.

IMG 0811

These cloud formations were photographed this week using a small digital camera, Canon PowerShot Elph 100HS. The camera offers an Auto and Program setting with some special effects.

While I used the Poster and Super Vivid effects, I didn't make note of which was used for each photo (whoops).

0802 CLOUDS2

These "before" and "after" photos were taken using the camera's auto setting (left) and the program/effects setting (right).

As shown, these effects are even more dramatic when the clouds "cooperate."

Have you taken YOUR camera out for some photo fun lately?

Photos are NOT clickable to enlarge . . . WHY? It was composed on a MacBook using the MarsEdit blog program. This program does not provide the same features as Microsoft Live Writer blog program does for PC blogging. There is NO similar software for Mac users (SIGH).

We all forget to look around and up. These pictures are beautiful and remind us to look up!

HOPE all is good with you and yours.

Love your clouds and the special effects. We bought our son-in-law an Elph camera for Christmas a year ago, and really likes it.

Love looking up.....my kids have grown up hearing me comment about the sky. Nothing blesses me more than to hear one of them comment about the sky =)

Your photos are beautiful. I've not fussed with special effects....you are causing me to re-consider!

It's surprising how much beauty we can find all around us if we slow down and take the time to look. Neat pictures! It's fun to see how much more dramatic you can make them by experimenting with the camera.

Those features are fun to use and sometimes they really helps to show how it actually looks up in the sky. Normal setting usually never catch those fine differences in the clouds.

Have a great day!

I took some cloud pictures a couple of days ago but they are not nearly as dramatic as these. Great pictures and I like the effects.

Beautiful skies!

As you know, we always have our cameras with us. Regarding your comment about our MoJo post, yes, we are creatures of habit. When we find a place we like, we go back. :)

Happy Sunday!
Lois
