It's Birthday time today for Grenville, TODAY.
Last night, he enjoyed AND shared his special "birthday cake" courtesy of daughter, Coleen and husband, Paulo - a 4-pack of Cinnabons.
Cinnabon is a name of a baked goods chain and its signature product — an OVERSIZED and very gooey (and delicious) cinnamon roll. They are usually available in stores and kiosks found in high-traffic areas such as malls and airports. And while there are over 750 Cinnabon bakeries in operation in over 30 countries around the world, there are (very sadly) none near our current VA home.
We remember going to a mall near our former NJ home to enjoy these treats, so this one was a very HAPPY and tasty birthday treat (Thanks C&P).
The celebration continues tonight with a very special treat involving trains and chocolate — 2 of Grenville's favorites; details in a future post.

Happy Birthday Greenville. We ate cinnabons at the Mall of America in Minneapolis. I guess we now have one in our new mall in West Des Moines. I hope his next few days are great.
Oh! Thank God they don't have them here... I would eat them ALL! And I am not allowed to eat even a crumb! :-(

Oh my these look delicious! There was a "Bun On The Run" place in Fairbanks that always had good stuff like this.

Looks like the perfect birthday cake! Maybe not as good as the cinnamon rolls at the Bun on the Run here in Fairbanks that Mona mentioned, but perfectly acceptable since Bun on the Run is one of a kind operating out of a small trailer only in the summertime. Grenville is having a good day, and trains and chocolate still to come. A perfect day for any little kid!
