Today, November 11, is Veterans Day which is always observed on November 11 in the U.S – regardless of what day of the week on which it falls.Last Saturday, Onley, VA held its annual Veterans Day parade and celebration to honor local veterans. It started with a Coast Guard honor guard and veterans groups. There were motorcycles . . .
Fire trucks and rescue vehicles . . .
And, other types of transportation . . .
After the parade, the celebration continued at the local fire and rescue building with a free lunch and musical entertainment.

Looks like a great tribute you have in your towm.. We have one but it's not that big..
Thanks Sandra, for a small town this is really a nice tradition to carry on. The vintage autos were wonderful.
Agreed Larry, it is a very nice celebration to carry on. Only drawback is not many folks turn out for the parade, but there's always an overflow at the celebration afterwards.
Hi Susie, maybe you will post about the events in your town. Your poem was lovely.
