We are heading home today after a NJ road trip to visit family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope everyone had a great celebration – however and wherever it was spent.
Glad you had a good trip. There is no place like home. Glad you can stay put for the Christmas season ... roads are usually inclement anyways ... at least around me! Though I am planning to head down to the coast to see my Mom over Christmas ... but only if the roads are decent.
Thanks Christer, Lois, Daisy, Scott, Linda. The photo seem approriate for the ride home. Glad you were home Lois to enjoy the holiday with family.
Steve, we brought the turkey dinner to my mom's so we have NO leftovers here at home.
Eileen (Cicero Sings) we are glad to be staying home for the Christmas holiday after so much recent travel. Hope the roads are OK for your holiday visit to your mom's.
Thanks Carole and Grace and yes, the ride home did seem shorter and it wasn't raining like on our trip to get to NJ.
Hi Pam and welcome to our blog. WOW a native of NJ, like ourselves. I was born and raised in Plainfield; Grenville in South Orange. Individually, we lived in several NJ towns, last one was Beachwood before relocating here to the VA eastern shore. I lived in Somerville, NJ for about 8 years and was wondering where you dad worked there. Thanks again for the visit and I will drop in for a visit to your blog place.

Hi Beatrice, A lovely parting shot as you head home.
I was born and lived in Point Pleasant, NJ until we moved to Florida 26 years ago. My father worked in Somerville.
I enjoyed touring your delightful blog.. thanks for the memories,
