Oh, how very pretty. We just love Maine at any time of the year - even Winter. The only images of pics around our place at home show the results of 10 weeks of drought. :(
Hi Lois, while we're sure that Maine is lovely in winter too, we prefer it now - it's easier to get around and more colorful :-) Hope you get some of that rain that's moving across the east coast.
Possum, we'll be posting more photos and hope you won't get too homesick from all the sighing.
The colors looks so much stronger on Your continent than over here. Mostly it gets yellow here, except for the maples that can get really red. I think there would be a law forcing every one to have at least one maple in their garden so that we can have more fiery colors here too :-) :-) :-)
Thanks Mona. We had to make the best out of a dreary and rainy drive.
Christer, wait till we get a sunnry day, and then hopefully the colors will really show up better. There are lots of yellows, red, and oranges but the rainy overcast weather does not let them show to full advantage.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the eggplant, Possum (hope that's what you meant).
Yes, Ginnie, the rain has stopped (for now) and we are hoping for a wonderfully sunny and warm day. Indeed, we will keep posting along the way. Internet connections have been spotty the past couple of days, but hoping for better connections soon :-)
Elettra, Welcome and thanks for stopping by and for the kind words. Please do visit again as Grenville and I love drop-in visitors.
AC, it had rained a bit more in Maine the past couple of overnights and more rain is forecast for the next few days. But it won't deter our road trips. We're been keeping up with news reports of rain deluges in Wisconsin and Minnesota, as well as in North Carolina.

Ah, Maine...I'll take it in the rain, snow or whatever. I love that place and hope you have a wonderful trip. I'm sure you'll keep us posted.
maybe some rain is a bit annoying, but the autumn colors are wonderful, congratulations for the photos

Somewhat west, it seems like it hasn't stopped raining yet this month. Sig: September is meant to be glorious -- before the other shoe drops.
