Friday Funnies

While nearly all the snow from last weekend's first 2024 storm in Nashua, NH, has gone on streets and walkways, this group still remains optimistic about winter fun.
Snowmen are a regular seasonal display outside our apartment entry. All of them hibernate in storage during warmer months, along with the snowball supply.
The penguin and frog are always visible by our door in all types of weather and seasons, a few winter "friends" have joined them for the next few months.
'Tis true that we enjoy winter and are hopeful for more snow. That's unlikely to happen for a while as temps remain in the mid-40s and low 50s with rain on Saturday.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Homemade soup & pizza plus Scottish ale will be enjoyed

We are too are longing for snow. We get a little here and there and then it has gone as quickly as it appeared. I am going to circulate a petition to bring back old-fashioned winter and I hope that everyone will sign it! There’s strength in numbers.

Love your snowmen and penguins and frogs and other winter friends! Such a cute display! I am sorry your snow disappeared so quickly, but is there more on the way? I thought there was another storm coming! Maybe it is more in the midwest. We are expecting more rain today and colder temps next week.. Enjoy your soup and pizza and ale! Sounds like good winter fare.

We have a weather event approaching tonight. We'll see just how eventful it actually turns out to be.

Love all your snowmen...you may need a snow woman in there to balance things out! But these displays are surely bright and cheerful in your hallway!

you love your snow and miss it and we love our sunshine and are missing it. past 2 weeks we have not had our beloved sunshine every day, past 4 days only a couple of ours of sunshine. just overcast and cloudy, a few drizzles, not bad to visitors who love the 60;s to 70's temps. we just miss the sunshine.

Cute snow people and frog. They brighten a dreary winter to have fun snow people out and around. I have a "Let it Snow," sled with snowman hung this year to cheer me up. They aren't just for the holidays.

They are adorable!! Are all of them yours? I think my favorites are the snowman holding the snowball branch and the welcome sign. I would buy that if I saw it.

The snowmen (and penguin & frog) photos are delightful. Torrential rain and strong winds here in rural TN. The temperature will drop drastically over the weekend. Snow is expected by Monday.

They are a happy group. Hopefully they will stay that way.

Snow tomorrow here but rain in the evening. The weather is a mess. Such is winter now.

Cute decorations, and I'll happily give you my share of winter and the white stuff, cause I'm counting down til spring. I really dislike winter. I dislike the cold, the snow, the ice, the increase risk of falling and getting hurt....thus less going for a walk outside etc. So, I'll try to blow my winter your direction. Enjoy!!

I'm a total fan of snowmen and love seeing your crew. The temperature has started to drop in New York -- it's been in the forties today and fifties yesterday -- and I expect to see snow at sometime. It's been 700 days since more than an inch, and yes, that is weird!

Loving my new lamp and it will make an appearance one of these days. I may do some "arty" photographs.

You always have such great decorations at your door. I can't understand people liking cold weather. My girls like cooler weather and they get that in Melbourne where they live. When they visit us in the sub tropics they suffer from the heat and we have to put the aircon on 24/7. We like the warm temps and not the cold. Must admitt though snow is pretty.

Hi Beatrice, Although I'm from Michigan and we lived in Chicago for many, many years, unlike y'all, we don't really look forward to snow here in East Tennessee. But this morning, it happened! we might get a couple of inches and everything comes to a dead stop here when there's snow on the ground...or even the possibility of snow on the ground. Worse yet, its going to stay cold for a couple of days, so it won't melt by mid-afternoon as is normal. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
