Mother Nature played the trickster this week.
Spring isn't exactly around the corner despite what the calendar shows. After a week of moderate tempss, including a nearly 65-degree day last Sunday, we had snow this week.
It wasn't a heavy snow, but a very pretty one as trees were snow-covered early Thursday morning. By late morning, the snow was history as temps climbed to near 50 degrees.
In NH, we'll Spring forward this weekend. Daylight saving time will begin at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 13, no fooling (that comes next month)!
Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone

The snow was lovely here too yesterday as we drove south to Springfield, MA to pick up the puppy for our daughter. Driving back at noon time the snow had disappeared except for the north shady spots. Another storm on its way for Saturday.
even Florida is getting cold sat/sun. supposed to be in the 40's after 3 weeks of high record breaking 80's. that statue is beautiful. all the photos are beautiful
Oh! I forgot about the springing.
Very pretty, I love when there's not enough wind to knock a snowfall off branches of trees and bushes! Have a good weekend!
I can't believe it's already time to set the clock forward. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.
Lots of April Fool's jokes by Mother Nature start way too early!
A light snow is pretty and especially when it's gone by noon!
I'm not a fan of daylight savings time, but we will all play with our clocks on Sunday.
The trickster here, too! Yesterday we had no snow on the ground, save for bits in shady spots. Today at least 3" and gently falling! Happy weekend!
Nice snowfall. Very pretty! Springing forward happens on March 13, David's birthday.
Winter does so hate to let go, but he must and soon.
The snow scenes look pretty and it's good that as temperatures rise during the day the snow melts. :)
That's because Father Winter is being quite insistent on staying around, no matter what Mother Nature says. Hope you don't get a lot tomorrow. hugs-Erika
It certainly makes for a beautiful photo (the snow that is).
Our temperatures are hovering around freezing the next few days. It's snowing here at present.
The snow is looking very beautiful, though. I fondly remember those snowy days in Germany when the sun was shining and we had those brilliant, but cold winter days.
Snow in March is unpredictable at best, but with each passing day spring is closer. Soon I expect to see Snowdrops in my yard.
Beautiful snow! That's the way I love it...fresh and clean, and gone by noon! LOL. Wonderful pictures. We will actually have temps in the low 30's and even down to 26 degrees this weekend! No Fooling!!!!
Lots of variety in spring weather.
We have wind chill warnings at the moment and it was -16 during the night--but then we are expected to be in the 30s this coming week and maybe even hit 40! Going to be melting like crazy over here, I guess. Spring--well, all seasons, really--are quite unpredictable these days.
spectacular images dear Dorothy !
snowfall has unique beauty indeed ,i loved the gorgeous views you shared ,reflection is most favorite ,sunlight after snow is delight
thank you for sharing the glory of your area ,hope spring is not far my friend .
hugs and blessings!
I wrote a response...and promptly, accidentally erased it!!
Vast areas along the eastern cost of Aus are in the midst of cleaning up after devastating, destructive floods. Fortunately, here were I live, we just received the non-stop heavy downpours, but others were not so lucky. I don't understand how people get over losing their homes, possessions, and in some case the loss of loved ones. The thought of their sorrow breaks my heart.
There is so much heartache going on in the world at present. When will it ever end?
Take good care.
No snow for us but the snow looks so lovely in your photographs.
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
Breathtaking photos, Dorothy!
These are such a feast for the eyes - temps are in the 90s here as I am typing this.
Happy Monday!
Hi Beatrice, Here in East Tennessee we went from 67F and plenty of sunshine to 18F overnight...in less than 12 hours. Also, we had more snow on Friday night than we have had in one burst all this winter. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Beautiful photos especially the reflections on the water.
I'm not sure I'd think that snow in the middle of March was funny! I might cry. But I am a horrible wimp about the weather so my opinion does not count at all! It *is* very pretty there! But I hope it warms up soon for you. As you already know, our weekend kept us guessing. (I didn't say on my blog but we even had tornado warnings for part of the weekend -- false alarm, thank heavens!)
Pretty pictures, maybe the last snow scenes you will be taking this winter. We got about 6 inches here in PA but the bright sun and mild temps today melted a lot of it. I am looking forward to buying some Spring plants to set out on the patio. Pansies come to mind.💖
Hi Dorothy! ☺ Oh Mother Nature...she's very fickle in March. We've had some teasers too then bang! Snow storms lol!
It certainly looks gorgeous! I love the statue too :)
