Standing By This Week

Glad to read all your comments in my recent blog posts about our visit to Covington, GA, which in recent years has been called The Hollywood of the South™️ and Nashua's unpredictable weather.

The snowfall just a week ago is all gone. The snowy a.m. scenes taken last Thursday were beautiful for the very short time they lasted. Since then, the forecast has been much better.
The forecast since then has been much better. As shown above, the mid-week forecast is for rain over the next week, and with a definite warming trend.

Posting this week is taking a back seat to some other matters that involve house chores (lots of decluttering projects) and my least favorite appointment, a periodontal 🦷 procedure, involving surgery. The upside is that afterwards it was recommended nothing be done the rest of today. Of course, I will be heeding that great medical advice by taking it easy the rest of the day. Grenville is on dinner duty and has insisted that I stay out of his kitchen today — no problem there.

Hope all is good with everyone whatever you have been doing this week, and I will catch up with your recent posts. I'm planning a new Friday Funny to end the week before posting one more next week from our recent GA visit.

See you later.

I guess I missed the post about Covington, GA. I will have to go back and find it. I've been a bit "out of touch" this week...nothing spectacular going on...just needed a little blog break I guess because I took it! LOL. Glad your weather is getting better. Spring is coming. The calendar told me so! Sorry you have to go to the dentist. That's never fun no matter what! Look forward to "seeing" you on Friday for a good funny post! Until then, take care and have a happy week. Be sure to wear some green tomorrow so you don't get pinched!

Having just been at the dentist this morning, and due to go back next week, I sure know how you're feeling about it. Fortunately (for me) I do like my dentist a lot. I'm putting my teeth in her hands. Hope your procedure goes well. I also need to do eye exam sometime soon. This old bod just keeps on having bits with problems. I'm at least grateful nothing has broken yet!

Good luck at the dentist's office!

Our weather is looking similar. Hope your "days off" are productive ones -- and that the dental work isn't too painful.

Glad to hear you've had better weather recently. I hope the dental treatment goes well. We have another dental appointment ourselves next month, necessary but not pleasant. Take it easy afterwards.

I hope your dental surgery went well. Taking it easy is definitely the way to go after such an ordeal (all dental appointments are an ordeal, yes?)

Good luck with the dental surgery and wish you the best recovery pain free.

Nice advice from the dentist and Grenville cooking dinner tops off the day for you!
We are traveling starting on Friday, south to see siblings for both of us. I have 5 and Dan has 3. Luckily the gathering at my sister's is close to Dan's family too.

What a smart dentist! Hope that both you and your hubby have a good day (once the dentist visit is over). All your snow gone? Blessed you. We are supposed to reach 65° Friday. That should help with the melting.

Still lots of snow on the ground here.

I hope you recover rapidly from your surgery and that poor Grenville will not have to do all the work.

Many areas here in south-east Queensland, and in northern and central New South Wales are still cleaning up after the devastating floods of a couple of weeks ago. I am very fortunate not to have suffered any damage...thousands and thousands of others have not been so fortunate.

Take good care, Beatrice. :)

That sounds like good and welcome advice, though please don't be like a former neighbour of mine who was told to take it easy after a heart scare. He took the doctor at his word and did nothing at all for the next thirty years!

We are on the upswing weather-wise. I’ve been getting outside for hikes and yard cleanup.

I can handle dental visits OK. Eye doctor appointments are the worse for me. I don’t like anything in my eyes or touching my eyes. It is a struggle to get eye drops into my eyes, although that process is getting better. I still have not undergone a glaucoma test. Touching my eyeball is a definite no-go. I go to the eye doctor March 28th. I know a glaucoma test will be attempted again. I am filled with trepidation already :(

Beatrice, I will have my 3rd endodontist appointment for the year at the end of this month...then back to the dentist for caps. Big $$$ and not fun! Decluttering and donations are on our 'to do' list as well, and we're not particularly good at it and we certainly don't enjoy it. So today we put it off until Saturday... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I hope you'll have a speedy recovery from the dental surgery. Rest, relax, and rejuvenate!

I sure hope the dentist appointment went well. Household chores are an unending job. I cleaned house this morning. Glad for one more time I've caught up with the housework.

Yesterday was lovely (by March standards) here too.

I hope everything went well with the dentist!

I've been ducking my decluttering duties for a while. Which probably explains all the clutter around here.

Hoping you are fully recovered by now. Not sure which I'd look forward to less -- decluttering or a dental surgery appointment. Your recovery prescription from the latter sounds good though ;>)
