Spring Sightings

Late in its arrival this year, Spring has finally arrived on the VA eastern shore as in many other places.

Some things that have also come with warmer temps have been  unwelcome, especially the invasive wildflowers weeds (henbit, chickweed, birds eye speedwell, cornflower) that now cover the yard.

Other sights are very welcome – ROBINS. We see them everywhere, backyard patio, lawn, rooftop and trees. robins everywhereHope you’re seeing some pleasant signs of spring too.

Nope, the signs of spring went away here. We've got about 4 inches of new snow with a couple more predicted. No sign of any warming until maybe Sunday. Personally, I'm ready for some puddles!

I've actually seen a couple robins here. Cornflower are weeds? Oops. Very nice photos of your lovely birds!

Good Morning! My cats have been busy watching robins through the windows! Our high yesterday was in the 80's and the pollen is very thick right now. Spring is here! Enjoy your day.

We're back in Texas and spring is definitely in the air here... love hearing the bluebirds singing. And yes! splashes of wildflowers (okay, they really are weeds, but Lady Bird would call them wildflowers so I will too). Even seen a robin or two.

I've only seen one robin so far this spring. Are they just avoiding me or are they late this year??

Yes. And they're waking me up at 5. I like them better at 8.

Lovely! I've never seen so many robins as I saw on the Eastern Shore this past week. They were fun to watch.

We saw 19 degrees this morning, does that count? LOL. However, we have seen one Robin. Still have a few Redpolls hanging around the feeder too. But spring is surely just around the corner!

Love your robin collage! We've been seeing the robins here too. Today we're getting lots of rain, but that is part of spring too.

Indeed two days ago hundred of robins along the south facing slopes by the highway. I wonder if they knew the snow was returning ... again. :)
