Countdown Starts

Ready or not – 24 days ‘til Christmas !

frog-penguinJumping for joy like the penguin or boggled like the frog?

Grenville and I are keeping Christmas simple this year with no presents for each other, just contributions to charities. BUT, we are sending holiday cards – the kind that come in the mail vs. electronic ones.  YES, we’re old-fashioned that way.

Want to exchange holiday greetings?

  • Post by mail only (please)
  • Include a photo of yourself, family to share
  • Add a personal note (pretty please).

In return, we’ll do the same AND you get to “see” Grenville & Beatrice – isn’t that worth the cost of postage? No need to answer that one. We’re curious to “see” you all.

HOW to do this?

  • Email Beatrice (check her blog profile page).
  • Include your email, name, and mailing address.
  • She will email back and provide OUR mailing address.

If you decide to “opt out,” that’s OK.

Thanks for your visits and comments on our road trips, household inconveniences, gardening, food adventures, and joys of grandkids.

We hope your holidays are as stress-less as possible.

Okay, if you look in the dictionary under procrastination and indecision you will see a photo of me. Every year I vow that I'll do photo Christmas cards next year, and every year I vow that "next year I'll do photo Christmas cards". This year that next year I won't do photo Christmas cards. Sorry, it's just not in me, but I do love the holidays and will be celebrating Christmas on my blog.

GREAT Mona, Daisy and Christine - got your addresses and have put them on our list. Ordered reprints this week late and they arrive until sometime next week. Cards will be started afterwards.

Hey Scott, that's OK. I always get started late on ordering reprints and doing cards, but it's still something I enjoy. I'll check out your holiday postings and wish you a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks Grammie G. will look forward to getting your info and will send you ours.

Thanks FishHawk and welcome to our blog.

Sandra, lots of folks feel the same way with the rising postage costs and lots of things to do around the holidays, but it's one tradition I enjoy. I'll be sure to send you an email with a holiday greeting!

Hi Christer, I have your mailing address from last year, but my greeting will be late too since I'm waiting for the reprints to arrive next week.

Hey Steve, look forward to getting your info and sending ours in return.

Hmmm, guess it's time to get on the Christmas card project. I have a bad habit of leaving it to the last and then I'm late getting the cards out.

Hi Mona, yes you could include a photo in a card! That's what I'm going to do and ordered reprints online cause although I have a printer I don't print any photos and hardly much else these days. I sent you an email with our address. Thanks for yours too!

Hey JP (Quiet Corner) glad you're back too. Hope you will do a card exchange with us too! Just email your name/address and I'll follow suit.

Thanks Carole (Country Mouse) and PLEASE do send me your name and address via email - you can send to the email address on my profile page. In return I will send you our info. I'm really looking forward to this exchange with blogger friends.THANKS.

Elaine, that's OK cause I'm usually late too and now waiting for photo reprints which come this week. I write personal messages in my cards. You are on the list already!
