We didn’t get to visit with the grandkids at Christmas. That fun comes next week on our after-holiday family visit road trip. Our last visit with them was in late October – way. They live about a 10-hour drive from our home on the VA eastern shore.
We did “see” them Christmas morning through photos and videos sent by their mom. We watched grandson opening gifts. Next year, granddaughter will be joining in that fun.

That's what I love about the location of our place...it's only 1-1 1/2 hrs away...but far enough awy so they do go home & we get to rest!!! Yours are precious!!...:)JP
Very cute, indeed. If you move nearer, I hope it's much nearer as 5 hours isn't all that much better than 10. When we moved, we considered places within a half hour but finally settled in the same town, and it has been a good thing. Mind you, I suppose that other options could have also worked out well.
Hi B...Oh they are so adorable..you must be very proud ..and yes you can spoil and go home lol ; }
Such little sweethearts! Wonderful photos! I hope you have a safe trip and a fun time visiting. :D
Awwwww, how sweet!
The holidays need to be extended anymore, the celebration is getting together as a family and it can be hard to do.
Lovely photos! We're really enjoying little Zaeya. I won't like seeing her and her parents leave us on Saturday.
the double dose is adorable. are you moving closer to them?
Thanks Everyone for your comments. Of course, as proud grandparents, we think this pair is super-cute - doesn't every grandparent feel the same way?
JP, we agree that 1-1/2 hrs would be a good distance better than the 10 hr trip we have now. AC, you are right in that 5 hours would still be too far. Sandra, we are working on possibly moving to NH but still have much work to do - like selling our home and finding another place, preferably one with much less upkeep like a townhouse or condo!
So sweet I hope you get to move closer
Definitely a couple of cuties. It is nice to have the grandchildren close. Of our six only three live here in Fairbanks and two of those are out of school and working. Fortunately the littlest is here where we can spoil her as much as we want, but they grow up so very fast....
