Proceed with Caution ⚠️

A caution to fellow bloggers — this screen displayed on three blog sites listed in my sidebar this morning.
FYI this message displayed attempting to access these blog sites on both an iPad and MacBook using Apple's Safari browser, the only browser on my devices.

Needless to say, I didn't proceed, but took a screen shot to display here and then ran a virus check on my PC with no dire report. (The screen shot above was edited to blur a blog site and my bookmarks.)

It's posted for your information as a precaution, since the websites are displayed on my sidebar: Buttercup Counts Her Blessings, Carola Bartz and Mad Snapper. I'm hoping this is a temporary situation and that I can re-visit these blogs in the future.

If it's happened to you, now or previously, please feel free to comment.

I have seen this warning from time to time. I hit “proceed anyway” and have not suffered any adverse consequences.

This happens once in a while. I just wait and get in later. It's on Silk, Chrome, any browser I've used. I think it's a blogger glitch.

I've seen these in the past and I just proceed ahead. I've had no problems.

I have never had that warning. I just checked all three of those blogs and did not receive the warning. Sometimes computers just do weird things!

That is weird um, wierd. Could it be phishing for emails? But you can get those easily. I have not seen it, here.

It's a shame that these people will go through all sorts of hoops to fix their sites. At the same time you are wise to leave them alone until they are fixed.

Maybe a few sites bring these kind of screens, don't recall if they were blogs or not usually. Sorry you got them, and glad you know not to open strange things.

thanks for the warning. hopefully it is just a glitch, but it is nice to let the bloggers know!!

Goodness, thank you!!! I follow MadSnapper and used to follow Buttercup. Frustrating at the least!

Hubby and I are seeing this more. So far no problems. That said, one of the sites was loaded with adverts. It was a blogger site. I didn't see that on the tablet (for some reason), yet did see their ads on the desktop and unfollowed them. No offense to anyone that wants to run ads on Blogger. I'm just not interested in the extra cookies and crap that go with it. Plus, I'm not on Blogger to be sold to.

I have also seen this warning from time to time.
I don't proceed just wait a couple of days and the problem or glitch seems to go away and be okay ... up 'til now that is!!!

All the best Jan

I have seen this warning from time to time also. However, it doesn't always reappear if I refresh a blog. I wonder if it's a bug or some form of hacking, but I haven't had any problems proceeding.

I have never seen this on my chrome account.

Yes, I've seen it on a couple of blogs I follow. I found that if you remove the https up in the address bar it usually clears it out and goes straight to the blog. However, like someone else mentioned, it is often attached to blogs that use ads in their blogs, and I get frustrated with that as it slows down the scrolling of the post and becomes very annoying. I tend to avoid those blogs because it takes away the relaxed joy of reading their blogs when ads are popping up and in the way. If the ads are controlled in the margins, they aren't too intrusive.
