Friday Funnies

This is a random collection of photos that provoked some phun thoughts in my mind and, believe me, some days it doesn't take much. Feel free to groan.
This shoe owner was not well heeled and definitely without sole.
This was definitely a shattering scene.
Maybe this sign is pointing the way to a very small town ?
Some days are cagey or you might feel caged in.
No ifs, but so many frozen butts were seen on city sidewalks and streets after most of the snow and ice melted. This nasty scene was repeated in many areas; a sidewalk cleanup will be very welcome — the sooner, the better. Like many others, I also thought that folks were smoking less due not only to health concerns but costs; however, this was only one of several areas that was littered with cigarette butts, so there's still many smokers.
This is good advice for anything traffic-related and even more so for life.

Tonight, we're going to view some very short movies and attend a film awards ceremony. But, we're not going to a cinema. The third annual Tiny Film Festival is at the Nashua Public Library complete with a red carpet for the presenters and popcorn for the attendees. Best of all, we can walk to the show.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
For most U.S. states, clocks are set 1 hour ahead this weekend

Now that people are unable to smoke inside and, therefore, congregate to smoke in one spot, these “collections” of butts are frequently a problem. Maybe a few smokers seeing your picture will develop a sense of responsibility - or better still quit smoking!

Those were all funny pictures, except the no ifs but lots of butts! I hate seeing those in public walkways or anywhere on the ground. Nasty stuff!! Oh, time change this weekend...here we go again. It will take me a week to adjust! I do like the longer days, but I wish they'd just leave it alone. I think about the wild animals and pets and farm animals...they have no clue what's going on and just keep on living the way they are meant to. We should do the same thing. Oh, that short film event sounds like fun. I bet you will see some great little movies! Have a great time. Eat some popcorn for me!

I hate seeing cigarette butts. How do people not realize that it’s littering? Enjoy the show!

Those butts make me wonder when was the last time I saw someone smoking. Actually, I guess it was downtown and not long ago, but I was surpised to see that collection of butts because I see smoking so seldom.

...this week I saw a pile of butts, someone dumped out there ashtray. Yet another reason to hate cigarettes.

Smoking should be banned. Don’t sell tobacco. The Plan Ahead sign is a good one.

I think it would be such fun to walk around with you while you find these photos, and make these comments (or drive as the case may be!) Of course editing may also be the source of your dry humor...but I did enjoy the trip today!

We all need more fun. Thank you. Not looking forward to the spring forward - although it was worse with small children to fall back. They did not.

Hi Beatrice, Love the phuns/pun captions with the photos. As for Daylight Savings time, we love it. More time to explore when the sun is shining! Dinner out and not having to drive home in the dark. Standard times were created due to the confusion of travelers and railroad schedules as faster rail travel increased. In the past, localities set their own time based on when the sun was at its peak in the sky. Standard time...and daylight savings time were established by Congress in March of 1918. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I adamantly dislike DST. There, I said it! Funny captions.

Groan! DST again already. *sigh* I thought we were going to get rid of it! When. When. When.
Good ones. I especially liked the first two. :)
Have a great weekend, Dorothy!

Well this was a Phun post today. I love the puns and the photos that go with them.
The Tiny Film Festival should be loads of fun. I can't wait to hear all about it. Your area has so many interesting things to do.

Surely the sign should be telling you WHY you need to plan ahead? Otherwise, who knows what it's referring to?

I'm one of those simple humans who enjoys a good pun and even a bad "dad joke", so this post made me smile. Except for the butts -- that's awful -- I might have been tempted to make a somewhat vulgar word-play comment about the kind of people who left them.
