At the end of the week, humor is always welcomed. And, while I always enjoy finding fun things on our road trips, there's fun close to home too. Today's post features some bathroom signage.
But, not from bathrooms seen on road trips. These signs are actually hung on the bathroom walls in our apartment. Three of these have traveled with us from our former homes in NJ and VA. These are not the only fun signs around our apt home and be forewarned that more will be included in future posts.
Your turn — do you have any fun signs/sayings displayed in your home?
If so, we hope they make you smile whenever you see them as ours always do.
Thanks to everyone who responded to the previous post about the hospitalization of a fellow blogger. While not everyone will send a card or note, good thoughts and prayers surely will travel and be appreciated.
There is much beauty in the world and many wonderful people living in it.
No special weekend plans in NH for us

I created a card and it's in the mail. I really liked the chance to do a little something for a fellow blogger in great distress. I hope it helps his spirits. Thanks for passing on the address.
I am so glad you mentioned a blogger who was needing some cards for comfort. I even started looking at his blog daily...but it was not available yesterday. Title had to do with a rant about hospitals. I'm quite sure there's much to rant about there. Love your bathroom signs. I've visited a few in "taverns" where food and drink were both served, and found some cute ones, which I just took photos of (of course). That's great that you've got them at home!
I love signs that make me smile. A few years ago I couldn't resist this one...you only need two tools in life, wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use wd-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use duct tape.
Perfect advice, correct? =))
It's good to live an an apt home. 😊
We have no signs such as this in our home. Now pictures depicting every aspect of nature, that's another matter entirely. And in every room too.
I love the signs in your bathroom. I'm looking forward to future posts with more signs!
I like Doris' suggestion above!
I do not have any signs but i do have 4 framed pictures of Baby and Jake, our dogs and each one has a scripture verse on it. the one of Jake jumping says, this is the day The lord hath made and the other says Fear not, Fori I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God.
I had to smile at the reading room on the outhouse. we had a outhouse for more than 2 years of my life and I never spent any time in it that was not required, too scared of spiders/snakes/bugs/wasp
The signs are funny! I haven't sent a card yet but I have been going to his blog.
Online, I found a lovely poster for the bathroom. The wording is in French. While I do know a little French, I missed that translation. Poster is still rolled in the shipping tube.
Cute funnies! But I thought of the same thing as MadSnapper! We regularly visited a relative who had a farm with an outhouse. They had one small pump next to the kitchen sink and another bigger one outside in the yard. (I don't think that counts as running water--lol!) If you needed a bath or shower--well, all they had was a small sauna building out in the yard. (Us kids argued as to who could be the one to ladle water on to the hot rocks--such fun!) But that creepy, smelly, buggy biffy was the last place in the whole wide world that I would ever think of as a spot to sit and read--ROFL!
i'm reminded of the wallpaper in our church lavatory. It's outhouses of all sorts in various seasons.
Must go back and read your previous post about a fellow blogger.
Years ago, we visited Wall Drug in South Dakota and I got such a kick out of some of the naughty sign magnets that my kids snuck back without my knowledge and bought two. I still laugh when I read them.
I enjoyed your potty signs!
Gorgeous sunset.
I like the sign about the toilet paper. No signs in my appartment.
Very cute signs. No, our house signage is pretty boring, we don't have any :) Gorgeous view out your window!
love the signs in your bathroom. Gives a smile ...
I do have 2 of my framed photos in our main bathroom.
They are both ocean scenes I took just a mile from our former home.
I do miss seeing the changing ocean on a daily basis (but not the fog and drizzly weather)

I love your signs. They are cute and definitely bring a smile. I don't have any really funny signs...one in my bathroom over the tub, "Hot bath 25 cents, Soap and Towel extra". And another over the laundry room door: "Laundry Room, Drop your dirty duds here". My son used to create and paint and sell lots of cute/fun signs for a living, but he's moved on to other things now, although he will still do it upon request. I came here today after reading your "Sad news" post and realized I couldn't leave a comment on it. I wanted to offer my condolences on the passing of your friend Linda...and also about our blogging friend Vee. I just learned of her passing today as well, and was so sad to hear it...but so glad that a fellow blogger was able to access her blog and leave a post to notify us. I wanted to say that I wish we would all make some kind of arrangements regarding our blogs that someone would have access to post such a notice to our blogging friends. So many bloggers suddenly just disappear and I never know what happened to them and whether or not I should just remove their blog from my list. I always hate to do that, hoping they might come back and post something...but after a year or so I figure they either must have died or just gave up blogging. I think we need to encourage each other to make some kind of arrangement with someone in blogworld that we know well enough to do that for us. It's just a thought. I feel really sad about Vee as I did not realize she was still battling cancer. I was missing her but didn't know her well enough to ask questions. Anyway, that's what I was thinking and wanted to post on your other post...sorry if I took up too much space. I hope you have a blessed and wonderful weekend.
Hi Beatrice, Sorry about the death of your friend. At 81 many of my friends and former associates, classmates, etc. have passed. It's always sad and really hard on the immediate families. I sent a card to Jon the day after I read your post about his struggles... That sunset is truly lovely! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I love the signs. There aren't any humorous signs in our house but I love spotting funny road signs. Like the one "Drive slow and see our city. Drive fast and see our jail"
Many members of our family are keen artists and often make funny birthday and Christmas cards. I've framed some of them and hung them on the staircase,They make me smile and sometimes amuse visitors too.
Oh that sunset is all relaxation, victorious, and passion!
