Often, people comment on where images for the Friday Funnies posts are found. Often, it's not hard to look at ordinary or maybe not-so-ordinary things to find a bit of humor.
So, here's a bit of bathroom humor.
Notice the spelling, offence, which means the same as offense, but is more commonly used outside the U.S. and considered as British English. Oddly, this restroom sign was in the state of Georgia. A couple of people heeded the notice and wrote on the sign instead (faintly).

Since I always spell the word as "offence", as does the rest of the English speaking world, I would never have noticed it!
i can’t recall ever seeing locked-up toilet apparently before.
I never know how to spell words. We use ostensibly British spelling here but are so overwhelmed by things American, that I don’t know whether I am coming or going half the time. And my online spellchecker, like this blogger one, is American. Now, let me write offence and offense. Oh, it doesn’t like the latter. Go figure.
That is funny; it never occurred to me that toilet paper would get stolen.

So they wrote on the sign instead...people are so good at bending the rules.
Someone asked (seriously I assume) what was the first thing that disappeared when the pandemic hit. (I don't remember their answer) My answer, shouted at the TV or whatever was, toilet paper! Of course it needed to be locked up. But still? Maybe not so much. (I've got that closet full at home, in case you're wondering.) Joking.
My doctor's office had to lock their Charlotte tissue dispenser and they were storing extra toilet paper in there but people were taking it home in their purses so they had to store it somewhere else. I did not know that it's against the law to write on the wall in the bathroom
People steal the darnest things. :)

Beatrice, Love signs and the humor contained or double meanings unintended. As for the secure TP holder, at least it has TP on hand for the moment. The worst situation is no TP when needed because some idiot stole a roll. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

After the hoarding of TP during the pandemic, I'm not too surprised at the padlock. Hopefully that is over now. But then again, some people just can't resist certain things, like writing on walls and then on signs...jeepers. Get a life! LOL. I enjoy your funny posts. They are always entertaining and enlightening!
Some people would steal anything! I would spell the word offence but if something is offensive I spell it with an s.

Yes, amazing it was actually necessary to padlock the toilet roll to prevent thieving! As far as I know, toilet roll theft isn't common in the UK. But what happens in America today, happens in Britain tomorrow, as they say.

I have a few funny pictures that I've taken in "bathrooms (or loos as it is spelled in England ;>). But I've never been brave enough to actually blog them because you know -- cameras in the bathroom??? But I am sure you and I aren't the only ones these days to do so. Everybody might as well have a camera embedded in their palm since everybody carries their phone everywhere.
