Two Firsts Celebrate a First

It's not every year that two first cousins celebrate their 1st 🥳 birthday. These two little girls recently celebrated this very special day — two weeks apart in two different states.

Many regular readers of this blog have seen these little ones before. They're our great nieces, granddaughters of my brother and his wife, who live in NJ. Their mothers are sisters whose husbands are both named Michael (another coincidence).

First to celebrate was Autumn Rose whose birthday was in mid-October. She and her parents, live in NJ.
Last week, there was a second birthday celebration for Savannah Marie with her parents, they live in FL.
Photos were texted courtesy of their parents. Gifts were mailed in advance to both children as, to date, it's been 9 months since we last saw or spent time with any of our families. Like others, we hope it won't be too long before we celebrate special family birthdays and holidays, together.
Happy 1st 🎂 with ❤️

I believe that it has already been one month that these babies were born! They were adorable and they were born in there still absolutely precious? I know that you miss getting together with your family. And I do hope that someday this virus will let us out of its grip and you'll be able to visit thing

I LOVE these photo collages! OMG, they are such adorable little ladies. It's amazing to me how many birthdays are celebrated this month. October seems to be a very popular birthday month. Mine was at the beginning of October, and both my parents' birthdays were in October as well.

Thanks so much for sharing, my friend. This totally put a smile on my face for the day. You have a lovely family!

Oh, these little ones are just darling! It's hard, isn't it, missing their birthdays and events. We're going through the same loss. But how I love these pix!

Adorable little grand-nieces on their birthdays. It sure will be nice when families can safely gather together again.

Beatrice, Very cute indeed! We haven't seen our son and his family since last Thanksgiving so we feel your frustration! I'm guessing the it will be mid-summer 2021 when we next see our son and his family in person... Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

Nothing more exciting than grand kids. Your photos show it.

Happy belated birthdays to the cousins. They are both adorable. I show my great-grands every once in a while, but not as often as I probably would if we were able to have more family gatherings. Our oldest grandson and his wife are parents of our youngest (so far) great-grandchild, born in March. The best redeeming joy to happen in this awful year!

So cute. Double trouble. Yes it is sad that families have been separated. WE are looking forward to our border being reopened so that we can see family.

Autumn and Savannah are adorable. First birthdays are always so exciting. I remember my daughter's. She got her face totally covered with frosting from her little piece of cake.
