Let It Snow!

Tis the time for tricks or treats and Mother Nature was a game player this week.

According to the calendar, yesterday was the day before 🎃👻Halloween, but in parts of the Granite State, and here in Nashua, it looked more like the day before Christmas🎄.
The first winter in Nashua usually arrives in December. Some years there has been snow as early November. That said, Mother Nature didn't read those forecasts.
Light snow began falling in the early morning hours after a previous afternoon of rain. While the snow didn't stick to wet roadways, it did accumulate on grassy areas and trees. Accidents were reported as motorists were said to be driving too fast for the conditions.
The snow was lightly falling most of the day with about an inch total. By late afternoon, skies were clearing and snow was falling off most tree branches. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 60s by next week with no further snow forecast (for now).
There wasn't enough snow to consider this a serious snow event, but most of the day, the scene outside our apt windows looked like someone had shaken up a snow globe.

Maybe the next snow event will be at Thanksgiving🦃?
It's been said, that you can't turn back time, but this weekend we'll be turning back many hands of time, unlike singer Cher who wanted to do that in a 1989 tune, If I Could Turn Back Time. My apology, in advance, for any possible ear worm, it wasn't one of my favorites.

We have been enduring the heat and rain, so your snow scene was a welcome relief. Happy Halloween!

Isn't it something crazy the weather has been this year? It feels almost like Spring, and then suddenly the temps drop and it SNOWS! I'm envious of your brief encounter with snow. I am so looking forward to when it comes to PA. Last year we literally had only one snowfall, and it didn't even stick.

AWESOME photographs! I think everything looks so beautiful covered in snow. Almost like being dipped in white icing.

Let it snow!

Oh, and Happy Halloween!

Good looking snow...though of course you may be very tired of it come April. I like the one of the flowers, which of course are dying but looking beautiful. Such is life...Oh sorry... Happy Halloween.

Christmas eve perhaps? Funny that it snowed there yesterday. It rained here yesterday. It did snow on Wednesday.

We also had a light snowfall, just a few days before you but maybe even less than you. It also disappeared fairly quickly.

There's something about snow that is so beautiful, how it quiets everything and softens it in a wintry light.

Snow is beautiful to look at! However, snow and everything else related to winter are not 'my cup of tea'.

I know the snow can be a pain in the neck. Isn't it pretty when it covers the trees though?

wow! This is a that is really early the snow. It is beautiful though we got a little bit of a cool front and got up to 66 degrees this morning had the air off until a few minutes ago and tomorrow morning it'll be 64 and then it goes right back up to 89 but we're loving the 64 in the 66 degrees

Beatrice, Better ya'll than us re: that snow. Last year we had 2.5 inches of snow all winter. We are going to hit freezing temperatures early in the next 2 mornings and that's enough for us! As for the time change, I'd be happy if they left us on Daylight Savings time all year round... Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

We've had snow 4-5 times but it all melted now and we are supposed to be in the 50s this coming week. Indian summer? ;)

Snow in October is cruel! We had a very light dusting overnight a couple of nights ago, but it was all gone by mid morning. But it is now November, so who knows what we might expect?

We got gobs of snow here. Thank you for reminding me about setting the clocks back. I had totally forgotten. Your snow photos are wonderful. Even though I'm not crazy for snow, it does make for beautiful photos. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

Wow, you did get snow. We luckily didn't get anything more than flurries. It's pretty though, but much to early for it. Happy November. Hugs-Erika

Lovely to see your snow. Still so mild here we haven’t even got out the winter duvet yet. I’m a real snow freak so it was lovely to see yours. Let it snow I say! B x

I enjoyed your snow pictures. We have snow on the ground here in NW Pennsylvania as well. Our snow began falling in the early evening last night. I do love the first snowfall of the season. In my opinion the snow can stop, after it grants us a white Christmas!

It’s very pretty, like a snow globe ! But just too darn early. And here I am worried about experiencing our first winter weather in years, when all it could mean is gray chilly rain. This part of Oregon will get A few days of snow at the most (usually). (We’ve been spending winters in Florida for the past twelve seasons, but not this year.).

Nice looking snow images. It hardly ever snows here and if it does, it doesn't hang around very long. I don't miss the snow or the slippery ground. Have a wonderful week.

What a beautiful dusting of snow! So different from my weather here. I'm still not sure if I have all the clocks adjusted correctly. I know I need to do the cars.

We had some snow too -- not that much but enough to remind us that winter is on the horizon! It's much prettier wher eyou are!

Great photos!

We haven't had snow in NYC yet, but it was mighty cold today!
