How They've Grown! 😀

It's been 11 months since the birth of our two great nieces, Autumn Rose and Savannah Marie. These cousins were born last October in NJ, the first grandchildren on both sides of their families.

Admittedly, the girls look alike, which is interesting as their moms, nieces Julie and Jamie are not birth-related. They were adopted as infants from Columbia and Guatemala by my brother and his wife, who last year became grandparents twice in one month.

It's been 3 months since the last post and, as everyone knows, children do grow up so fast. Since we've been unable to visit, their first-time moms have sent photos in the ensuing months and know I like to share.
Autumn Rose is the older by 2 weeks. According to mom Julie she has two teeth, talks a bit and is starting to take steps. She and her parents live in NJ, fortunately near both sets of grandparent who, we've heard, enjoy babysitting rotations.
Her cousin, Savannah Marie, and her parents, Jamie and Mike, lived in NJ until earlier this year when they relocated to FL.
Both girls went to the beach in recent weeks as shown in these photos.
Both look like very happy babies in the received photos. We're glad to have seen them and their parents during our 2019 post-Christmas road trip. It seems long ago when we see how much they've grown in photos.

They are absolutely adorable they look like little doll babies. And then the first shot sitting in the pool they do look a lot like each other I can see the differences in the other photos. They are both beautiful babies

OMG, can I just tell you how ADORABLE they are? They have the cutest little faces. And I love their beautiful wavy hair. Bellissima!

And yes, I actually thought they were twins because they looks so much alike!

Love their names!

Their little outfits in all these photographs are absolutely precious!

So glad to hear that you're able to stay in touch with phone calls and video chats! Isn't it great how things like Skype, Google Meet, and ZOOM have been such a blessing during these times? I mean, if we can't be there in person, the best alternative is chatting via video because it allows us to not only talk, but also see the person.

Hope you're enjoying a fantastic week, my friend. Gosh, I can't believe how fast August is flying by.

The babies are simply gorgeous! They look happy and well loved. It's so good that you can keep in touch, whether by phone or video. At least it is contact. I do hope you get to make that road trip. The children grow up so fast. You are Blessed. Have a super day, hugs, Edna B.

Beatrice... Very cute little girls and they certainly do look a lot alike! We know what you mean about missing family. Other than my wife's sister and her husband (both retired and relatively 'safe') we haven't seen anyone since last Thanksgiving. We viewed a video of our oldest grandson as he checked into his apartment in NYC for a 2 week quarantine before school starts. Selfies and texts were traded but we're guessing that it will be mid-2021 before we'll be able to freely travel... Sad! Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

They are cute as buttons. Yes, phone and video. It's not great, but it'll do for now. Beats taking chances!

What darling little girls! Glad you're in the loop getting pictures. Our granddaughter sends us short videos of our great grandson on Snapchat on our phones. He'll be 2 in October and is growing our of babyhood into being a little water/mud loving little boy.

Those little ladies are so adorable. And they do look alike. It will be fun for you to see them grow and see if they still look a lot alike as time goes by. Hugs-Erika

Such a beautiful pair of cute little girls. I can imagine that you miss seeing them - that is so sad since, as you said, they grow up so fast. Lovely though that their parents send you all these photos so you can "see" them from afar. I hope and wish for you that soon you can see them in person.
