Friday Funnies

I like having fun with images. It's possible to get interesting and fun images from a single image as in this post without a lot of effort. My apology, in advance, if anyone gets a bit dizzy. The same thing happens to me.

This is the original photo taken at a local hotel furniture surplus outlet. This place sells items salvaged from hotel room renovations including the furnishings, bedding, kitchen and serving wares, decorations, lighting and a lot of LED bulbs.
Here's the same photo in which a kaleidoscope effect was applied.
Same photo again and this time a stained glass effect was used. I think this one would look better in color.
Last one (promise) is a twirl effect and it's my favorite effect, even if it does make my eyes go a little crazy, Maybe yours as well?
Applying these effects really didn't take a lot of any effort. They were applied quite easily in the Photoscape X photo editing program by selecting from the choices shown on the right side.
I've been using playing around with PhotoScape X for the past couple of months using the FREE version downloaded from the APP store on my desktop PC. It's been a lot of fun.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone.
We're going to the Nashua Farmers Market opening

I love each thing that you did this is the kind of stuff that I love love love to do! And I have you to thank for telling me about photoscape because I use it almost exclusively now because I can do it so quickly and easily and my beloved PicMonkey has become so hard to use that it takes me so much time that it makes my shoulder hurt and photoscape keeps me pain-free I have yet to use it on my phone and now that I thought of it woohoo

I love playing with images on my laptop. I used Photoshop CC. This can be very addicting though. While you're busy having all this fun, the hours are slipping by. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

I love playing with photos too. I haven't played as much as you have here, and now I am inspired! Thank you for that. Happy Friday!

Beatrice, My favorite of the group is the kaleidoscope effect. Very imaginative. As for different apps, I'm lucky if I can enhance photos, much less play with special effects. No smart phone, nothing too complex on my desk top computer either. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

FABULOUS photographs! Love the special effects. And I also love that you shot them in black and white!

That last one looks like paint when you stir it.

And thanks so much for letting us know about the app, because the one I've been using for years will be retiring in the fall. Can't wait to try it!

Have a great weekend, my friend!

P.S. And have fun at the farmers market!

You illustrate the fact that perspective makes all the difference.

Yes, lots of fun for very different images. I think I kinna like the stained glass one the best, but then if I come back in a half hour, I'll probably change my mind. They're all pretty cool. ;) Happy Weekend!

That's one of the good things about the lockdown, we've had more time to mess around with artwork and images collected on our computers. Actually I was thinking I'd get the time to update my other blog with some new photos and haven't yet, but you've inspired me!

great job. love your photos and the effects. i went to a hotel liquidation sale years ago and ended up with two end tables, a desk chair, patio table and chairs and queen size comforter all for under $100. i had a dodge neon at the time and i was amazed it all fit.

Neat editing effects! It's interesting what you can create all from the same beginning photo.
