Last weekend, our family traveled from 4 states to a 5th state, NJ (home state to many adult family members). We came to remember and say farewell to an aunt, sister, and sister-in-law. In sadness, there is also happiness at being together.
The oldest grandchildren traveled with their mom.
Their mom with her sister and youngest granddaughter.
Patrick's aunt and uncle, Anita and Russ traveled from CT for a first time meeting with their great great niece.
Grandpa spent time with the grandkids.

beautiful grand children and I think my favorite of them is the cell phone pic. it is always sad to meet for a funeral but always glad also... my cousins came to see me while bob was in surgery and the last thing Bonnie said was we have to get together sometime when it is not a funeral, surgery or wedding... the last time I saw them was several months ago at their dad's funeral.
Family holds itself together even when there is a loss of one. Your grandkids showing her the cell phone is such a great shot.
you are very right about the gatherings on such sad events turn into even a happy event when families who get chance hardly to meet each other get together and share their laughter and tears for sometime .

Yes, the cell phone picture is lovely. Family gatherings are wonderful even though the circumstances are sad.
I'm sorry for the loss in your family.
Lilliana got lots of good loving! And it's clear you all love each other very much. So sorry for your loss.
Sometimes, it's the only thing that gathers the various families.
Sorry to hear of your loss. These occasions can be bittersweet. Those family members whom we get to see so rarely help us get through these sad times. Lovely photos of the family.
AC is right... sad but true.
Its the only time I see some cousins.
I'm sorry for your loss. Family is there for us in both sad and happy times. Your family photos are nice even if taken because of a sad event.
Family is heaven on earth! We’re celebrating my grandmother’s 80th birthday this February and the whole family is going to be in town. We have booked an event space Chicago has and we’re thinking of going with the 70’ theme for the occasion.
