Sharing a Loss

Many of us have formed friendships through blogging. We become friends online and a loss is always deeply felt.Losses are experienced as profoundly as when we have lost a family member or personal friend. memoriam

Sadly, last night, I learned that a UK blogger, Sandra, aka Technogran (Technogran’s Tales) died after a long battle with cancer. Technogran shared her computer and photo know-how through several blogs. Her personal posts candidly related her battle with cancer and raising Kerri, her daughter, who has Downs Syndrome. They shared many adventures.

Sandra’s blog and photo albums remain online as of today when I revisited them. Be forewarned that if you visit, you might find yourself spending several hours there. Sandra was a prolific blogger, except in recent weeks.

So sad. Yes, I have many blog friends who, though I have never met them in person, I feel they are just as much my friends and the ones I do see day to day.

How sad. I haven't visited that blog.
We do become friends as we read the words written by fellow bloggers. I cherish each friendship I've made and am blessed by having actually met you and your hubby!

Yes I've lost a couple of blogging friends lately too. Strange how one can miss someone that one never really met.

How very, very sad. I am so sorry. I have lost friends I have never met and it hits hard. You grow to love them as you would the dearest of friends you see all the time. A big hug to you for your loss and I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers. She must have been a very special lady.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I just read the first post on there, written by her son after her death. My heart goes out to him and to the family.
I read some more of her posts and I must say that Sandra was an incredible writer, you are certainly right about that.

It seems so many of us are losing those we care about in the last few months... and even tho we usually have not met most of our blogging friends, they are a loss, too.

It still amazes me how close we become to one another through blogs. And it is indeed sad when we share such difficult times. I'll check out her blog.

Oh no! I am so sorry! And yes, I know we do form these attachments to our blogger friends. I didn't know her but she sounds like she was a wonderful and generous person.
Our friendships are very real, no matter that we may never meet.
