What Snow ?

Grenville was ready.

Thursday night, he put the snow shovel on the back porch, placed hisIMG_7793 winter shoes by the back door and checked that his wooly socks were out.

He even turned his flannel wear inside out AND started humming “Snow” from the film White Christmas. It’s the one harmonized by Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen on the train headed to Vermont —where it does snow.

If snow was coming this way, Grenville was prepared ALSO wishing and hoping.

So HOW much did we get ?

Very little — NOT even enough for a decent snowman.

NO snow collageAt the feeders, this male cardinal was trying to figure out why the smaller birds could get inside the feeder and he couldn’t.looking inSince there’s a chance of precipitation headed this way early next week, Grenville is leaving the shovel out, even IF it’s only a 10 percent possibility per The Weather Channel.

He’s ready (in case the forecasters are wrong). WOW, it’s a good thing I also like that Snow song.

Cute. It's nice to have someone around who is willing and able to shovel the snow. Yes, we have people to do that here, too, but we haven't had to do it this first week we are home.

The birds are beautiful. :) Very nice images.

It's snowing up here today, but we're mostly in a cold session these days.

Probably when you are least expecting it, it will snow! The Cardinal is just gorgeous.

Always good to be prepared. Glad to hear that the forecasters in the east are as bad as those in the west! Not so when my D was alive boy. Now he was a good forecaster!

It's hard to take the Northerner out of us, isn't it? Keep those shovels and boots ready- you never know!

So happy Grenville is so happy about snow! We didn't get anything which is fine with us. Flurries are to happen this week and bitter cold!

Take care and keep singing...the white is bound to come!

Oh well. Winter's not over yet. Maybe you'll get another chance for snow.

Yep, this was my kind of snow. Pretty on the bushes and trees, road - clear. But would you believe I still have a few patches of snow even tho it got up to 53 yesterday?
I have my snow shovel out, too - but i use it to shovel leaves and gum balls, mostly! LOL!

If Grenville leaves the shovel out, it probably won't snow - Murphy's labor something like that ;-) the cardinal shot is really beautiful!

Welcome Karen and Debbie and hope you visit again.

I bought really nice snow boots last year and barely have them broken in.

Whwn the weathermen get a forcast right, they will crow for days. But let them blow one big-time, and they won't even mention it. Go figure!
