You like what the weather is doing outside, just drive through a few states and it can change – just like today.
This was the scene as we left the Extended Stay in Nashua, NH. By that time, Grenville had stopped singing “snow” songs.
There was more of the same as we headed south through NH, then into MA with alternating periods of snow and sleet. Thankfully, we only spotted a couple of fender benders; in both cases, the driver had slid into the guard rail and not another car.
By the time we drove through Hartford, CT, roads were just wet from rain; heading into NY and then NJ the roads were completely dry with no snow to be seen. Thanks for the safe travel wishes, fellow bloggers. We continue our homeward bound travels tomorrow morning. Grenville knows where there’s an IHOP along the route – did you expect any less, remember it’s one of our “brake for” stops.

Glad you made it safely through the snow. DO NOT let Grenville sing any snow songs tonight!
IHop! Yes! That's the first place we go to eat after ten weeks at sea. :)
I, too, am glad to see you safely got through the snowy weather. It's cold, wet, and nasty here right now. By tomorrow it will change - it always does.
Thankful you had safe travel. Seems like Winter has finally arrived. Have a nice weekend.
Do NOT bring any of that snow home!
Thanks everyone, forecast today is for clear weather for the final leg of the drive home.
Elaine, he stopped singing as soon as we got on the highways.
Lois, we watched the Weather Channel and saw that Cinncy and Cleveland had lots of white flakes.
Mildred, watching TWC it seems like winter was just a bit late, but here NOW.
OK, Possum.
Looks like you had a WONDERFUL trip!....:)JP
oh goody soon you will be home again. I like IHOP also...
Enjoy your stop at the IHOP. We have snow again here too, but I guess I should expect that since it's January.
Ihop is the only way to go when traveling or when you are not traveling. My wife makes a mean pancake but we still like to hit the place for enjoyment.
Quite the transition. It would have been a great weekend for snow pics here. Alas, I was ill and it was very cold out.
Ahhh, weather. So fickle. Last week it was like spring with the birds singing their hearts out. This week: -20sC and maybe even -30C with snow and windchills on top of that.
JP, it was a great trip and the snowfall was a treat, only downer is it happened the day we were leaving.
Sandra, and we skipped IHOP this time because of the weather.
AC, hope you are feeling better, as is Grenville s-l-o-w-l-y.
Cicero, you sure do get some wild weather swings. We have had 20sF a couple of recent nights, but this week temps are supposed to be near 60F...go figure (or not).
