We hope everyone had a peaceful, joyous and loving Christmas – however and wherever it was celebrated.
Grenville and I celebrated a simple Christmas at The Frog & PenguINN. Our neighbor, Mary, joined us for breakfast – blueberry pancakes, bacon and fresh fruit. Later, we turned on the tree lights, lit ALL the holiday candles (a lot), and snuggled up for a movie marathon. We’ve been re-watching our collection of holiday films since early December. Yesterday’s choice was The Santa Claus movies starring Tim Allen – YES, all 3 movies:
- The Santa Clause (1994)
- The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Claus (2002)
- The Santa Clause 3 – The Escape Clause (2006)
The photos are a little blurry as they were taken in available room light with an iPad.
No, I don’t take the iPad along when we go out and rarely take photos with it. But, it had some special photos we wanted to share with our friends, Matt and Annie, who own Annie’s. We will share them with you in another post.
At the end of this week we’re off on (another) road trip to visit family in NJ, PA, RI, CT. We’re also returning to NH for a week.

Your Christmas day sounds lovely and peaceful. Dinner out with no cooking and no clean-up after sounds great too! That's a wonderful stress-free way to celebrate. :-)
Hi Judy, Thanks so much for the comment and Christmas wishes. I do know what you mean about finding time. I just visited your photo blog and you have some beautiful photos and I enjoyed your tie-ins with scriptures. I will revisit again. My best woshes to you and yours for a Happy New Year.
Thanks Grace, we will be spending a week in NH and who knows just maybe we will meet in the New Year. Let us know by email if you will be home.

Sounds like you had a lovely day! I thoroughly enjoyed all the family and festivities, but now I need time to rest and recuperate.....
your day sounds perfect. we do not do gifts either and we did eat out for the first time ever and i loved it. but your place to eat is a lot prettier.
It seems to me as though you celebrated in and fitting and wonderful way.
Glad you had a nice Stress free Christmas. Here is wishing you a Happy New Year.
Hey Christer, we have all 3 of these films so can watch them every holiday season. They are always such fun and the first is our favorite.
Yes, Elaine and Sandra it was a very quiet day and dinner out was wonderful. Winter is a good time to recoup, Sandra - especially in your part of the world.
Thanks AC, we found that this year's Christmas was certainly different than recent ones.
Hi John, your celebration looked wonderful too. It was great fun seeing your family celebrate, especially Gram!
Great tree photos! Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas, and so did we, except for the fact that my nephew Cole was the missing link in the family chain. Very hard this first set of holidays without him.
