It hardly seems possible that today marks a quarter of a century since two hijacked planes struck the Twin Towers in NYC causing both to collapse, destroying the global business complex and killing nearly 3,000 people.
Remembering the Twin Towers as they were and against the skyline of NYC before 2001.
Last December, I visited NYC and photographed One World Trade Center, now known as the Freedom Tower. In January, a post about my visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum brought back so many memories.
The words Never Forget remain in our collective memory no matter how many years go by. Like so many others, I can recall where and what I was doing in my native NJ that fateful morning.
Today, people, here in the U.S. and worldwide, will take time to recall the tragedies that resulted in the deaths of so many people, not only in NYC but in Washington, DC, and Shanksville, PA. We remember all of them and will Never Forget.

FYI — Blogger seems to be having a new issue this week as fellow bloggers, including myself were having trouble uploading photos. That's what happened earlier when composing this post. I resolved it by dragging and dropping photos into the draft, not a permanent solution. Apparently, this latest issue has since been resolved — for now.

A solemn day.
Never Forget. Thank you for your tribute. Peace, my friend.
Beautiful Tribute to so much Grief and Resilience.

When I visited the 9/11 Memorial I was struck in a new way by the solemnity of the event and aftermath.
A heart rendering tribute, thank you my dear friend.
A lovely tribute.
My thoughts and prayers to all affected by this horrific event.
All the best Jan
We will NEVER FORGET. Thank you for this post. Also, blogger is not updating the feed of everyone's posts. I am having to go search for them. I don't know what's going on with them. I pray they can fix it soon. So I am behind in reading posts because I'm not seeing anything scrolling up as new. Take care and have a blessed weekend.
Good morning, my sidebar is still not updating with new posts-just remembered I needed to check on blogs--I watched some of what they shared on the tv-I was still working as a Bell telephone operator-In Illinois-I still remember some of those calls. One said please dial my granddaughter's phone one more time-that was a difficult day for many of us
I remember how horrified I was seeing the planes hit the twin towers. The first responders did a fantastic job, but unfortunately a lot of them developed serious illnesses from all the toxic materials they had to deal with.
None of us can forget where we were at that time and day and seeing it happen in real time on TV. Thanks for this.
On another note, pictures are working again. I can tell they are fiddling with the reading list because three new posts from the same blogger came up early this morning but none since then (including my "test" post.) Still, some movement on it.
