This photo gives an entirely new meaning to the term, shoe tree.
Not sure how or why, but this was exactly what was seen in front of a downtown restaurant on Main Street in Nashua, NH, earlier this week.

I'll never understand how people lose one shoe!
...someone is hopping around on one foot!
I think it was thrown out of a car window, or fell out of a car onto a sidewalk, and someone sat it there to hope the person who lost it will see it. it happens a lot here, people stop and pick up lost items and lean on poles. that said, I have never seen one in a tree pot. ha ha
How odd not to realize you lost your shoe!
I’d never think to look for a missing sneaker there.
I don't even want to think how a shoe could end up there.
